Yes, EA has abandoned the freestyle superstar feature.

idk, when i watched the Wii preview on IGN, Tony Parker had a outside scorer icon under his name

Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the Wii, PS2, X-box, and PC versions, but Freestyle superstar will not be included on the PS3 or 360.

It looks as though Current Gen might stay the course with FSS (though there's been no official word either way) but it's definitely been removed from Next Gen.
