It looks like a glorified version of the Sims Online, or a watered down version of Second Life with better graphics.

yea but you can do madd shit...and their gonna expand even more...i'm DEFINATELY gettin a ps3

It's not the Sims or Second Life, It's just a 3D avatar based online environment, you don't eat or sleep in it, I can just about GUARANTEE there won't be pets because that's not the point of Home, if there is pets it'll just be like an accessory, you won't feed it or anything.
It's just a place to meet with your friends or clan, maybe play a few games like bowling or pool together, and then decide what game to play and launch into a game from Home. It will eventually have a trophy room for each player, kind of like achievements, and movie theater where you can watch/DL movies. You can get houses or apartments for your clan or w/e and can decorate the house any way you want. Some games will have their own room. EX) NBA Live could have it's own room where you can go to talk with other NBA Live game players, it could have a basketball court where you could just shoot around for a bit, etc. That's all up to the game devs though, Gran Turismo has already confirmed they'll have a Home room thingy.
I dono I really can't see myself using it that much, especially if theres long load times to get into Home, or to go from building to buliding/ room to room/area to area.

You can also do most of this stuff in real life, or in yahoo games!. Your going to pay 600 bucks for that? I guess the price is worth it if you have no life. Maybe you can find a girlfriend over PSN.

EXACTLY. Why am I going to play the game of "going to my friends house to play video games" on a video game? I love the new technology but i hate that theyre trying to get us glued to the television. The idea that actually interacting with humans face to face is becoming passe is a really, really, really scary thought.
Think Demolition Man....
Anyone here know how to use the 3 seashells?

First off it's not a game, think of it as the same as xbox Live except the avatars or w/e are 3D. It's just an online lobby where your clan or a bunch of friends can go to wait for others players, and then boot into a game from there. You download Home, it's free. Young Buck I'm sorry but you seem completely biased against the PS3 and Home. Your not paying 600 bucks for Home, your paying 600 bucks for the console, Home is free. Xbox Live is not free and is the same thing as Home except it's doesnt have the whole 3D avatar thingy and isn't a giant 3D world. So your pretty much dissing all online gaming in your statement.

Xbox live is free....playing games online is what you pay for. You can still message people, chat, download demos, themes, icons all with the silver account.
Home isnt a game? Well when i looked at it i saw bowling, pool, and games like that. So it has games in it.
