Im not a fan of 2K8, never have been i just dont find it fun(too much like a chess match, not fluid enough) but if 2K8 were to release some screenshots of gilbert arenas that are better than the first screens we saw(which would be hard to do) that would be a huge blow to nba live

It won't happen, the EA chris paul are way better than the 2k's chris paul, the 2k's chris paul doesn't even look close to cp3.

I have to say Live kills 2k with graphics of the players' faces, but Live still has to fix those legs and skirts. I think that they have updated the ball after seeing how well 2k's ball looked.

hehe, they're trying to show off how CP3 looks on NBA Live to make people compare 2K8 and Live 08 in Graphics.

Great work by EA on the facial area of players, pathetic job at making the "skirts"
I hope people don't base the game winner on these so called graphics, the graphics ware off in about of week of playing anyways. And how often are you going to see the faces of these players? I sure as hell don't go into replay just to stare at how great of a job the company did on the faces.
EA can try all they want by adding CP3 pics just to claim themselves as the graphic whores, but this still doesn't change the games competition through an overall aspect, taking into consideration of Gameplay, Animations, cloth physics, ball physics, and many other things.

yeah, the shorts are awful, and the legs are like tooth pics, they REALLY need to fix that.

Well, the face itself is nicely detailed, but it just doesn't look like Paul, that's all...

Wow, that explains a lot.
I remember when everyone were pondering over Arena's first Live 07 pic when it was released, and then a few months later a VERY crappy screen is released.
These rendered pics need to stop. It's like EA is pulling a Sony (Killzone 2) move from the E3 a few years back.

It might be and it might not be, but if you compare the ball on the July 11th pic to the July 27th pic, it's a huge difference although it could be because of a closeup.
Anyhow, Live player facial detail is great.

Look at the dark shading on his armpit and the texture on his arm. They would've made it much more realistic if it was a render...

Don't think so. look at this situation here. From 06 to 07 their devious tactics have been caught read handed and confirmed by the thread I posted. Live knows people have memories, thus they will not make it look like heaven when the truth will eventually come out. Just looks a tad better than 2k is good enough. I mean, look at that facial expression. You can see the eye brows tilting and nose tilting, just like that D Wade phony in 06.
