Look what I got for free today!

I've been involved in freebie site's lately, I've completed 2 so far, xbox 360 elite and playstation 3.

Today, I got the elite!!! It also game with gears of war and an extra controller not pictured, I got it for free though I'm stoked I can play next-gen nba now.

But... I'm selling this system and the games, I just thought I'd share my moment of glory with you. I have a PS3 on the way, and I'm going to keep that instead of the xbox because it has wifi and blu-ray built-in, but with the 360 I need to buy hd dvd and wifi ($300 total just for that)

PS: If you're interested in buying this system with gears of war and the extra controller - let me know. It's all brand new, I don't want it because I'd rather have a ps3.

i dont really care for the system, already have one. But what did you do for the ps3? Im not dumb enough to pay for one, and neither are you obviously...lol, but I'll annoy my friends for a while if it means i get a free system out of it.

Okay I am jealous of you. I always thought freebie's were a hoax, I now bite my tongue because I ever said that.

I still don't get why they just give away free systems. Maybe they get something out of it . Hell what do I know.

Some are a hoax, these were from the best company in the freebie market though (trainn)

They do get something in return, in order to get the xbox platinum bundle like I did, you need to complete 1 offer for their sponsers, and then get other people to do the same by giving them your referral link to sign up. (the xbox with game and controller was 13 referrals, and the ps3 with game and controller was 13 referrals)

But they get paid for each time someone completes an offer through their site, so they can afford to give away prizes.

Pera, most freebies make you pay for something (obviously a lot cheaper than the item you get), for example software they develop and stuff. I think that's the only "catch".

Of course this is another thing you can do only if you live in the US.

i got a free xbox 360 also, except i got mine in a different way. see what i did was camp outside of eb and waited for someone smaller than me, and alone, to walk out with a system. then it was the old punch to the back of the head and i ran off with his system. it was sweet.

You can get trainn stuff in canada but not europe, but some other freebie site's ship to europe, and some you can negotiate with.

I would too, but the xbox 360 doesn't have the features I need.

I'm not a big gamer so I don't care, I'm going to buy either nba live 08 or nba 2k8 whichever is better (or I'll buy both, but I'm not rich),

Xbox 360 does not have built-in wifi like the ps3 does, and I'm not spending $100 for a wifi add-on, and I'm not running ethernet from my basement to my upstairs. (Normally I'd play in my basement, but my HDTV is upstairs, and blu-ray ftw)

Also, xbox 360 does not have hd playback, you need to buy an ugly and expensive HD DVD external drive ($200).

So all the 360 has on the ps3 is more games, but I'm not a big gamer so it doesn't matter, as long as NBA,GTA IV, and Grand Turismo are available I'm happy.

I'm more about multimedia, where ps3 wins in that category --- I'd have to spend $300 on the xbox 360 to get these features

Predictably, there was a sale a couple of weeks after I bought my 360 which could have saved me a couple of hundred bucks.
