I'm trying to figure out the logic of the bluring effects. Take a look at these two screens from basicly the same camera angle:

I don't think it gets realer than that.

You think that now, just wait 'till you see 2K8 later on this week.

what makes you think 2K will look any better. This is a completely different NBA Live than it has been in the past. 2K does not have more tecnology than live, they do not have any more power than live. I doubt it will look any better than this if it even looks as good. There is no reason that 2K should look any better, and i stand by this untill i see a screenshot from 2K.

also.
lets keep in mind that it won't look like this in the game. You will never see kobe's face close enough to compare. The closest will be in a replay. Only thing that matters is in game graphics.

both games' graphics are sensational now. It's almost like splitting hairs at this point.

Live will get some faces dead on and miss others, same for 2K. I agree that Kobe's face is dead on, I can't imagine 2k making the cyberface look better. I like what 2k does with the dramatic lighting though. Live's lighting lets you see everything a bit better, but not as dramatic as 2k.

At the end of the day, elements such as gameplay and Dynasty/Association mode are going to make or break each game. I know there's a contingent of players who put graphics at the top of the list but a game that isn't enjoyable to play isn't worth the virtual sweat on the players and no amount of realistic cloth movements or dead-on virtual faces are going to change that, no matter what the title.
