Just talk about what you hope to get with dynasty mode this year.

I am hoping for basicly the same thing with a better player improvement/development system

3-way trading
Reorder rosters
Cutscenes
Stats page layout redone
Players on the trading block

I love the dynasty mode in 07, but bugs have made me stay off that game.

on draft day, being able to input our own created players into the drafts (like making next years rookies and put them in)

being able to re-order the computer controlled teams' lineup and roster (so if we like to have our season roster mimic the real nba, we can keep up with trades and what not)

a better way to develop players during the season

Better gameplay will make the Dynasty so much more playable for me.

Otherwise, here's what I would like to see.

- A better way of making deals and signing players just like in the NBA. Also, the computer should automatically tell you if the salaries match up instead of wasting a few days getting an e-mail saying that the salaries don't work.
- Trading Block. This is something I can't live without if I'm wanting to make a deal. I love this feature in the 2K series.
- Draft day deals as mentioned before.
- Drills/mini-games to improve stats. Could be a good distraction while helping your players (as said before).
- Ability to resign from your position, get fired, and get hired by another team.
- Some "fake" coaches so that you can hire/fire head coaches.
- Ability for players to demand trades (doubt this will happen, since the NBA might think it sends a bad message, like technicals because of rough play).

That's all I can think of for now.

I'm honestly not sure that I could come back to Live dynasty without it DRASTICALLY straight-up ripping off 2k's association mode.

No matter how much (if) Live's gameplay improves.

I used to only play Live a while ago but now I prefer 2K series and 07 is the first live game I actually didnt purchase. I'm hoping they can win me back this year. 2k does have a good association but it just needs a few extra things to make it more enjoyable... I just love the game for the gameplay and realism. (btw 2k7 has 3 team trades)

1. Different owner personalities a la 2K series.
2. Better system for player development/improvement, based on potential, playing time, and production.
3. Better CPU-generated rookies! I hate the abundance of 6'1" SG's and 6'6" PF's. Stupid. Also, better rookie stats. How in the hell would a PG get drafted if he moves slower that Eddy Curry or Shaq? Wouldn't happen. Also, no moe players with ridiculously low stamina. Basically, overhaul the whole CPU rookie generating system.
4. 3 team trade/trading block/draft day deals
5. CPU with the ability to adjust player positions and playing time for optimized performance and account for trades/injuries. For instance, if Miami somehow obtained Pau Gasol, you wouldn't want him backing up Shaq at C, you'd play him primarily at PF.
6. Better sim engine.
7. Different off-day practice types.
8. Less rigidly scheduled off-season.
9. Head coaches actually having an impact on the team, as well as the ability to fire/hire head coaches.
10. Pre-season games.

I played 2k once, it's 100x better than next gen nba live 07 because it sucks, 2k7 is a good game, but it's not as good as everyone makes it sound, it's only hyped because it had no competition last year.

2k7 is kind of similar to NHL, because you're ice skating across the court, in online mode if you pass the ball full court, every time you have no competition and an easy basket (glitch making it impossible to win against an opponent who utilizes this technique), free throws are impossible to make, Artificial intelligence can be stupid, ohhh, and in 2k7 it's pretty common to have the AI point guard dribble for 15 seconds at the top of the key before passing. Also, when you dunk the ball, the player's shorts turn into a skirt (looks pretty funny actually), Also in 2k7 you miss a dunk every game, the games are low scoring because the AI misses so many open dunks/layups/and short 10 foot jump shots, which sucks after awhile.

2k7 isnt a bad game, I'd give it 8/10, I expect 2k8 to be a 10/10 though. On the other hand, I'd give nba live 07 next gen a 2/10.

But, you won't be missing anything with nba live 08 over 2k, I expect live 08 to be very good, I hope it's very good on PC too, but I have my doubts.

I've been a fan of NBA Live long enough, and I still am. I think that NBA Live 08 will be the best one out there. I read every post and im with y'all too with the Dynasty part, but the Trading Block is a must and all the other things yall said.

yeah lots of great ideas here. at this point there is no excuse for some of these things missing from the game still. such as(all have been listed already)

1.trading block
2.better player progression based on more things like PT,injuries,age,coaching. so on
3.a good offseason. for the love of god how is this so hard to fix?
4.3 team trades
5.counter offers when trading.
6.better rookies. sick of seeing a 6'6 power foward
7.expanded trades. nba teams are not limited to seding out only 3 players per trade. why are we
8. easier to trade draft picks. let the computer also trade picks. in the real nba there are a few trades every season involving picks. never see it in live.

how to improve dynasty

1) Multi player dynasty- up to 8 teams
2) hire and fire coaches
3) realistic generated rookies ( you do see once in a while a 6'2" SG but a draft filled with a ton of them isn't realistic) a few undersized players is ok but not a gob of them. undersized players are only good if you want to go with a smaller lineup also a point guard so slow as molasses is ridiculous
4) draft day deals ( best idea I've seen so far and would love to be able to trade on draft night)
5) Preseason Games ( to see which 15 players make it onto the NBA roster)
6) be able to have more than 15 players but only can put 15 on your roster
7) trading block ( see what kind of players you can pick up from having on a trading block)
8) Expansion Mode ( maybe a new team comes into the NBA and you get a chance one of the season to have control of the franchise if you want for example how about certain cities come into the league (Kansas City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Louisville, cincinnati etc etc etc)
9) have certain players be signed and not sit in free agents when there 32 and on up (for example Paul Pierce, Ron Artest , Ben Wallace, chauncey billups etc etc etc)
10)trade for future draft picks
11) trade more than 3 players
12) 3 way trades (although I don't see myself doing this)
13) save during the offseason
14) talk about rookies during the games
15) list first and last name of player in a mock draft and not something like B. Rogers
16) computer trading draft picks also
17) stop with the PG bug the only way a PG should be shooting alot is if it's a point guard who does that like Mike I jack up three point shots all day James.

dynasty mode besides one or two things.

they also should add create a player in dynasty mode that u can put in
a draft.
