NBA LIVE 08 Help Thread

Sun Jul 08, 2007 9:33 am

So,NBA LIVE 08 is coming to town and EA is working.Honestly,i predict that NBA LIVE 08 can't live without patchers just like fish living without water.I also think that there are still many not likely bugs to happen. With EA releasing it in Oct.2 rather than Sept.26,what could EA possibly do?What are your predictions for the game? Please post and we'll see in October if your predictions are right. You can also post questions about live 08 and anyone can answer your questions.Feel free to post answers questions and help in this thread.

All I hope is that the game is playable... All the fancy stuff can be added afterwards by the magic of the patchers...
I hope that the go-to basketball is included in the "old gen", go-to moves aren't unstopabble, no PG dom (or any other position dom), new dribble system is not so arcade, own the paint is in fact versatile, and they change the colours of the hotspots (way too invasive...)

If they manage to get all this right, throw ourselves a nice roster update, and the rest can be arranged by this community's geniuses.

Hopefully. The PC/PS2/Xbox versions weren't on display so I don't have any hands-on impressions of them.

There won't be a Xbox version. Just PS2 and PC.

The PC version will, of course be a port of the PS2. Full of problems, terrible gameplay, lousy graphics and with a special feature that makes us question our will to live.

Based on past bugs that ignored fouls, fatigue, substitutions, I assume the only bug left is for EA to not count baskets made.

If the hot spots feature is in the current gen version, my first patch will be to make it transparent so you can still see the court.

My mistake. I'm using to mentioning the PC, PS2 and Xbox versions when that generation comes up.

I think you'll be in for a disappointment then.

I ask this question every year since I do edits. Are the going to change the rating scheme for the current-gen system? I know in 06 I thought they didn't do any changes and then they took Primacy out and I had to recalculate all my overalls.

Wed Jul 18, 2007 2:04 pm

I don't have any info on the Current Gen version yet but I'm guessing there won't be any major changes.
