Judging from what he wrote, they have only addressed offensive issues, and not defensive issues. The defense he describes sounds alot like 07's.

I don't know...it sounds good, but I'm not buying into the hype completely yet. Based on what I'm reading they better shore up the D, I'm a little concerned about this.

They did say they want to work on the offense then that's when they will focus on D. . Hopefully they do something about it cause I hate when people runnin up in the ky and I can't stop em

Offensive players were able to use a wide array of moves for easy scores, in most cases via dunk. That led to shot percentages generally in the 55-75% range even on Superstar difficulty. It was really frustrating because there was basically nothing you could do to stop it except hope to draw an offensive foul.
Hmmmm
I know it's still work in progress, but I have the bad feeling that it'll stay...

How about subs? The most glaring issue in 07 was lack of fatigue and subs. None of the Community Day recaps have mentioned that aspect of the game, and whether it was fixed.
If an 07 car came out without breaks, the reviews for the 08 model would address whether brakes were added.

The weird thing is that there has been no mention of the current gen version in every article covering the community event. I hope that was just a choice of the author's of the articles, and that they were able to get some hands-on time with the current gen version.

Subs...hello...subs?
We've been teased, by community day attendees, about terrific new features that they're not yet allowed to discuss. We've been told it's not community day attendees' faults that they missed the lack of subs and PG dominance problem in '07, both of which were obvious within the first minute of play.
Ok, so where's the info about substitutions in '08? How about PG dominance? There's a lot of marketing speak being written in these community day articles, but how about some info on fixes for these problems? Are they fixed?

I have a bad feeling...a basketball game without defense is a sucking game, I hope they can adress this problems, players like Ben Wallace and Bruce Bowen can't make any difference in the game if the defense doesnt exist

The Current Gen version wasn't on display at the Community Event so needless to say it's difficult to comment on that version. I did make some notes about subs in the Xbox 360 version, which is the only version that was on display.

Hey Andrew,
Did you get to play against the CPU or only other invitees in the game? I would guess you'd see a big difference in gameplay from a human vs. computer over a human vs. human opponent.

Both. The demonstrations by the producers were also user vs CPU games rather than two producers playing one another.
