Lowest 80 ? Ya'll must be some nerds lol
Keilor Downs College is my school, there are some nerds as well...the highest was 97.5 apparently we had 8 students over 90. We got a big year 12, 250 kids.
Tue Dec 12, 2006 5:48 pm
our school is very academic (a lot of asians), so maybe at other schools we would be considered nerds but definately not at ours...
We are at Glen Waverley SC, I think its the 2nd or 3rd best state school in terms of enters...
As for Keilor Downs... I met some of you guys down at the fucking pier on wednesday night at rye. There was a girl there who kept dancing as well as a few other guys and girls... was all going well until the locals came and tried to start a fight with me because apparently I gave them the finger (i didnt)

stupid locals
Edit*

Thats our school

we made the front page
A SUBURBAN public school has rocketed up the VCE tally board, with four of its year 12 graduates achieving the "perfect" tertiary ranking of 99.95.
The result puts Glen Waverley Secondary College second in the state for perfect ENTERs, behind Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School, where five students had the top ranking.
Glen Waverley's quartet of perfect ENTERs also places it ahead of elite private schools, including Xavier College, Ivanhoe Grammar and Melbourne Grammar.

Meh, smart people aren't always nerds. Strange thing with that.Laxation wrote:was all going well until the locals came and tried to start a fight with me because apparently I gave them the finger (i didnt)

Was that for schoolies? Cos the locals wherer we went (last year) was the exact same story. The locals always make shit up so they can get a fight. You've probably heard of Apollo Bay, me and my mates went down there and we had this 2 local drugos used the line "did you steal my bike?"
My mate got isolated by 2 of the guys at one stage in the dark near the beach. My proudest moment: Jumping in, got a few jabs in and somehow wound up getting them off and running away.
But then these 25 and 30 yr olds i met earlier on in the night beat the absolute shit out of them for us so it all turned out ok.
Wow i totally went off in a tangent then...
P.s. i got 48 for my enter.
I'm the lazy/musician kind. Academics aren't my thing. Though they probably should be. I'd rather post on an internet forum... about how academics aren't my thing.

Lol i reckon that'd literally be their thought process.
"I'm bored. What ya wanna do?"
"Go beat up some younger guys"
"Ok"
The guys at our schoolies were full on though. They even came back a second time with another guy, a metal baseball bat, golf club, and blade. This was before they were beat senseless by the older guys.
It's a dog eat dog world, huh.

I was raped by the ACT: 24 (I guessed so damn much, I'm a slow test taker)
Not too bad on thse SAT: 1270.
In terms of what I'm planning to do for college, I'm completely lost. (but not worried)

I have to register for the SAT II pretty soon and I'm not sure what to take. I'm thinking U.S. History, and I know you guys talked about it some earlier, but those of you that took it, you think you could give me a bigger overview of what's really on it so I know if it's worth my while to take that one over another one?

If I remember, Rice.

If I remember correctly, I had to take this early this year when I applied for a scholarship for some American school here in Milan.
I think the score was along these lines:
600 Critical Reading
450 Maths
600 Writing
I can't remember though. I got pissed off because they did not accept me and I even had to pay 100€.
However, I do not see the reason why they had me take a test high school seniors take when I'm only a freshman.

Ah, nice.
I wanted to get into Harvard or Stanford. Had the GPA to do it, had the extracurriculars to do it, had the community service hours, some interesting job experience...but my SAT scores were too damn average. Something like 1350 total on the old test.
If I remember, Rice.

Standarized testing sucked... Its been like 3 years, so let me try to remember.
I think SAT was 1290... 600 in English and 690 in Math... that was the second try. I think my first was like a 1190, but I can't remember the splits.
I also got like a 720 in Math SAT IIs and like a shitty 560 or something on the English Writing SAT II.
And I took a English Proficiency SAT II as a college requirement and got like a 995 out of a possible 999. It was a weird grading system.
We were the last ones to take the old version of the SATs.
Wed Jul 04, 2007 4:33 am
Never took the new one.
I got a 750 on the old one. I forgot to write my name.
Wed Jul 04, 2007 12:01 pm
I think i got a 1460 or something , can't remember since it was over 4 years ago.
I faintly remember how difficult the Critical Reading section was...they'd play tricks on you and hide information in the writings! Like..."Bob went to the Boston Garden to [insert question choices here]" but the information wasn't actually in the reading or it was hidden using different words.
