NBA Live 08: Own the Paint 29/6

Fri Jun 29, 2007 9:36 pm

On the main page, I wrote:IGN has put up another article outlining the major gameplay changes in NBA Live 08. This time it's about the inside game. It talks about how the post-up now is much more of a battle and how much the collisions have been improved thanks to two-player motion-capture. There are also five new screenshots. To read the full article, click here: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/800/800514p1.html.

Also, some new screenshots:

I think NBA Live will come close to 2k8 this year...

Yeah, I'm feeling the game is getting better and better, and I'm really gettin confident about this one.

Yes, I agree! The next gen is going to be good but we haven't heard anything about the current gen yet! That's what makes me a lil nervous! But lets see what Andrew found out

I like it but the Cavs jersey looks weird :? ( 5th screenshot)
Other than that it's pretty cool!

Very Nice graphics but not good ciberfaces (N)

I hate these articles.

This year, the paint will be unkind to undersized players and a battleground for big men.

They say that every year, and it usually either doesn't happen, triggers the bump animation when you try to drive, or results in guys like Baron Davis missing layups. If the offensive post-up game is anything special I'd be surprised.

Yeah, I'm really not convinced with that kind of communication, even if it sounds real interesting if properly executed. I'd rather wait for more vids and Andrew's feedack (for current-gen) before getting too excited.

the cyberfaces are weird !...
on the 4th pic the crowd is looking away from the ball
And the worst thing is on the 5th pic: who's that guy guarding Ilgauskas??? Don't tell me it's Oberto....

steve nash looks so old

Sun Jul 01, 2007 6:56 am

He is LOL!!! He's like 34. . . .

Sun Jul 01, 2007 7:33 am

Hm..graphics looks like a downgrade even... and the cyberfaces are horrendous.

Sun Jul 01, 2007 11:16 am

Agree... cyberfaces suck...

What's wrong with Oberto? If you didn't notice, he played against Illgauskas 50% of the time in the finals.

Mon Jul 02, 2007 6:43 am

i think hes trying to say that it looks nothing like oberto..not the fact that hes guarding him
well..cyberfaces are trash..eyesockets are too shadowed and deep..but 2k doesnt have the greatest cyberfaces either..hopefully both parts will improve on that eventually

Oh, I guess I didn't read it in the right way. Yeah, the cyberfaces are bad but at least they are not focusing 90% on graphics and 10% gameplay, like the past two years. I don't really care if the graphics are below expectations, at least I'll be able to stand the gameplay and not get bored after a month or even less.

Exactly, specially the cyberfaces aren't a real problem because our great patchers probably can fix them

Why are u guys talking about graphic issues when great games revlove around gameplay. I thought u wanted EA to focus less on graphics and more on gameplay.

I agree wholeheartedly and would suggest that the quality of Dynasty Mode is also paramount but a lot of people do find the graphics very important as well.
