The rest of the day was dedicated to capturing the guys' signature moves for "NBA Live '08" in the EA gym. Durant was pumped that his trademark chest bump (fist to chest after big buckets) was going to make it into the game. Keep an eye out for that when you're at home with your joysticks.
"NBA Live" project manager David Pekush explained to the boys why they had to wear the special suits to create some gamelike moments. "We want all your moves in the game," Pekush said. "Julian's dunks, Brandan's hook, Corey's defensive stance, Joakim's jumper …" -- but Pekush was cut off before he could finish that sentence, since Brewer and Horford burst out laughing at the idea anybody would want Noah's "unique" jumper in the game. Noah was quick to shoot them a look of antipathy.

When will the myth of next gen stop? Top end PC's from last year were ahead of an XBOX 360. Top end PC's now, a year later, are even further ahead of XBOX 360.

Who cares about PC. Get a job and buy an next gen system and thats it. I have both PC and a Xbox 360 and Im 17 years old with a part time job that has to pay rent too. So stop crying because it is possible to have a next gen system and a computer. Buy any next gen systems and your problems will be solved. You wont have to worry about "Will their be a PC NBA Live." EA is not lazy its you guys for not wanting to work to pay extra money on something. The End.

That's such a diplometic way to put it on a forum where the majority of members plays Live on PC...![]()
So you're a badass because you have a job and pay rent at only 17? Good for you kiddo.
As mentioned above, maybe some people aren't interested in buying a stupid console just for one game...

So if they aren't going to buy the console for 1 game then they should just shut up and play the game EA gives them or not buy the game at all.
Save up all that money from the basketball game you complain about and buy yourself a next gen console and you will be happy.

OldFoolStyle wrote:How so?, have you read the technical specs for the 360?. Last I read Intel's triple core processors were still a 360 exclusive, and won't be hitting the PC market 'till november at the earliest. The closest thing on PC's are the Quad, two duo cores connected seperetly. I do give the nod to the Quad though, but only slightly not the major adavncement you give it credit for.
Similarly, many of the functions of the ATI video card included in the 360 are also exclusives and won't hit the PC market untill Q4 of this year or Q1 or Q2 of the next.
Also keep in mind the soft economy and slow PC sales. The highest end available PCs aren't realy reflective of the current average PC in the home. Sports games, and basketball in particular, just aren't enough of a draw to push the hardware specs.
P.S. Thank Jah you didn't try to compare the PC to the PS3, that thing has a nine-freakin'-core CPU. Nine Buddah-damned core, no one even knows how to program for that. Multiply your current CPU by 8, and it still eats you alive and poops you out.
To some degree yes, the original X-Box runs on Windows CE which is an extremely stripped down version of Windows 2000.
However, untill just a year and a half ago the average PC* didn't have the hardware to keep up with the X-Box**. In fact, if you check on any Oblivion message boards(a game where the pc version is a direct port of the x-box game)many people's computers still aren't even up to current-gen horsepower yet. The average PC caught up to the lesser powered PS2 less than a year after it's release.
*note: by average pc i mean the average computer most people had in their homes, not the highest-end overclocked machine available.
**keeping in mind the average PC(read above)uses a lot of it's memory and CPU running the OS, virus protection, messenger, aim, and dozens of other programs in the background. Consoles dedicate nearly all resources to gaming and just gaming.
P.S. Looking forward to seeing how you twist my words around this time.
