Give me a 91-91 regulation Pistons - Cavs OT game and day of the week over a a 140 - 140 All-Star game filled with stars, dunks, alley-oops and generally retarded basketball.
All those people just interested in fancy dunks and high scoring with no defense can go watch And1.

But trust me, there is no need to hate Verojao.
You must admit, “flopping” requires quick reaction, exact footwork and the insight of how offensive player is going to attack, and flopping also means a fifty-fifty to get a call for defensive foul.
Scottie Pippen, one of the greatest defender at his position, no doubt, also a very good flopper. But he’s so good at everything that people can forget his flopping and focus on his dunk, 3-pointers and passes.
Verojao plays with hustle and energetic, look around the league, how many players are willing to do what Verojao did for his team to win?
How many players just don’t give a shit about the game?
How many players you can see from their games that they really want their teams to win nowadays?
I think that’s why Spurs and Cavs got into the Finals. Even a blind can tell that some players in Utah and Detroit just don’t give a FXCK.
And please honestly answer this question: Don’t you want a guy like Verojao coming from the bench for your team?
Flopping isn’t Cheating, making someone got hurt is Cheating. Flopping just like everything else on the court, it can be avoid and stopped by smart move.
Sheed just got owned mentally. I mean, Com’on, MAN! You’ve played in NBA for over 10 years, you and your team are known for experienced and sophisticated, and you’re whining about referees got blinded by someone’s acting? You should have get over it!
No one’s gonna remember is it true that Wade, Verojao and Manu got fouled when they flop, the only thing we’ll remember is that Wade and Manu led Heat and Spurs won the Championships, and Cavs got into the Finals. Sheed once again showed he can’t control his temper when it matters the most, and he will always be remembered this way.
I don’t mean to offend Piston’s fans, but your team really did a bad job overally in the ECF, don’t blame Verojao’s flopping, that’s just one of the smallest issues.
Verojao is a good NBA player, and Cavs is a good team, unlike we expected, they don’t rely on one man show. If you just don’t like them, don’t watch the Finals or go boost for Spurs.
From what I saw at this point, the new age is coming, Bowen can’t guard James, Duncan will get into foul troble a lot, and can’t make the majority of his freethrows, as long as Cavs’ shoot the ball well, Cavs in 6.
i would say more better at positioning defense then flopper. Pip would beat players to their spot from the periemter...unlike sideshow bob, who for the most part comes helpside or is in the post.
btw- it's hardly flopping when you barely can bend at the waist the following day after taking a charge from Karl Malone in the finals

thats what vanessa bryant said.....
sorry, couldn't help it. only kidding.
i do wonder though if we would somehow perceive varejao differently if he didn't have a fro. that thing really bounces around and adds effect.

I agree to a certain extent but I still feel there's nothing wrong with enjoying a spectacular dunk or marvelling at an amazing play. Take Tyrus Thomas for example. I hope that he develops a diverse game with solid fundamentals and that the Bulls will benefit from his continued improvement. But at the same time, it's exciting to watch him catch lobs or elevate over a defender for a dunk.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating that every game should have an All-Star Weekend atmosphere as I appreciate the importance of fundamentals, intelligent play and hard competition as much as the next person. But these days it almost seems taboo to enjoy outstanding plays when they occur if they don't conform to a certain standard of basketball purity. Personally, I think it's possible to enjoy both aspects of basketball; the fundamental and the extraordinary.

why do we keep talking about flopping lol.
Varejao gets good position on the charges he takes, then he falls, even if he's flopping he's only doing it to make it look more convincing (in other words, if he didnt flop it would still be a charge) He gets good position and draws charges better than anybody else.
People were admiring him in the regular season for his ability at drawing charges, it's funny now people are saying he's just a flopper, drawing charges is a bit more than flopping.

That was the most retarded thing i've ever read....even Varejao admitted to acting and your defending him. He makes Vlade Divac look like an amateur.
Fri Jun 08, 2007 3:08 am
If you can flop and get away with it more power to you. It drives me nuts when other teams are flopping against the Pacers, but untill a rule is put in that bans flopping, I have no problem with players that do it and I would do it if I were in the league.

looking forward to watch the cavs win the first game^^ you never know what ways lebron finds to surprise us.
maybe like in 2001...james wins game 1 against SAS (like iverson against lakers) but after that the spurs take 4 games (like lakers).
but had popovich good defensive strategies before against scoring machines? i don`t think so and thats what gives hope to me.

I was just about to post something like that. You can bet on the Cavs winning tonight, and it being all exciting. I think after that, they will lose 4 out of the next 5 to the Spurs.

I didn't say he doesn't flop, I said he gets good position when he takes charges, he only flops to seal the deal on the call.

Even the commentator talks about Varejao being a good flopper.
Two notes so far in the first half of this playoff game:
1. Tim Duncan is an amazing defensive player.
2. The Cavs have amazing defense, and can be compared to the Spurs' defense.

http://www.myp2p.eu/NBA.htm This sais the finals are on Sopcast on the channel WMOE. I'm not sure, because that is supposed to be TNT.
This should work as long as you have sopcast installed.

If it doesn't work with firefox, try IE. It also sais you need the sopcast plugin.

GINOBILIIII.....Spurs 40-35 up at halftime

1. Tim Duncan is an amazing defensive player.
Tim Duncan was this seasons REAL DPOY......in the playoffs he easily out-dueled Camby and he's been nothing but DOMINANT all throughout
I said he gets good position when he takes charges, he only flops to seal the deal on the call.
you mean like tonight against Brent Barry when he leans sideways into Barry?

If he actually got good position he wouldn't need to flop.

Lebron is cold, ice ice cold, hes had open looks and just cant make em, i guess he just isnt ready for the NBA finals yet. The Spurs could take this series in 4 at this rate, Duncan is carving up the Cavs frontcourt and Parker the same with the backcourt.
Fri Jun 08, 2007 1:44 pm
Why isn't Daniel Gibson getting more minutes? He's clearly the best point guard out of the 3 on that team (himself , injured Hughes , and piece of shit Snow) , so by all logical means he should be starting over some injured guard who hasn't been the same since his ECF injury. Is there any reason Hughes continues to start at PG?
It is unfortunate that this series will likely end in 5 games , the way Parker and Duncan are scoring. It would be nice to see the Cavs win at most 2 games (perhaps games 3 when the Spurs are already up 2-0 , or Game 5 when the Spurs are already up 3-1) because it's better to clinch the title at home instead of an away stadium which is half empty. So , if this series gets out of hand early and the Spurs take a commanding 3-0 lead , unfortunately I will have to root against them so they can clinch the title in Game 6 in friendly AT&T center.

Solid game from Spurs. Cavs got a little run at the end but the offensive rebounding was great by S.A. getting 2nd and 3rd chance possesions. Cav's defense is severely underrated, they CAN compete in this series. I don't think they will win until game 3 though. Lebron is starting this just like the ECF, he needs to be more aggressive. How bout that boobie?

More agressive isnt the idea or mindset of Lebron. Lebron is all about good decision making and look at the history of the playoffs, playoffs are won....team effort.....yeah sure....MJ went off every game lol but on the other hand he hand a BONAFIDE scorer next to him in Pippen.
Lebron's PAV or GIBSON or GOODEN is not a side kick....haha not even close more like decoys...
