lol, I didn't understand it too, but I'm going with the "Pings a hoe"
Good Job on the wall.

I really like the background. Maybe the player should stand out more, because now he just blends with the white background. But good work
Tue May 01, 2007 7:36 am
Thanks guys.
Marquis, I actually decided when making it that I wanted the uniform to blend into the background almost, so I played with levels to bring out the white as best I could.
Thanks again.

Heres my latest work, another Kevin Durant wall. I prefer doing my work with no or minimal brushing, never became a fan of the lighting or grunge effects, so here is another clean cut, simple wall. I liked the outcome of the mesh type pattern in the background.
Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

yea the effect is cool!
I really like it, shiny and sweet!
Wed May 16, 2007 5:47 am
Yeah dude that shit is off the hook. But what the hell were you thinking making the resolution 1024x819?
Wed May 16, 2007 5:51 am

I didn't realize that Photobucket auto resizes the images if they are too big, and the way the resize also messed up the dot/mesh pattern in the background. Sorry bout that.
Here's the actual size, how it was supposed to look. (1280x1024)
Thanks for the comments guys

Sorry for the double post, but heres a Thabo Sefolosha wall I made. I know it's got alot of open space, but in the design world they say clear space is good, so I'll take it
Anyway here it is:
I used that dot/mesh thing in the background again because it looks so damn cool
Suggestions? ... Actually no suggestions, I just resized it for the sthumbnail and accidently saved over my wall PSD. Motherfucker
EDIT: I didn't saveover the PSD, my mistake. Open to suggestions for any changes now.

Make the pic more dramatic?
Fri May 18, 2007 7:46 am
I just tried a few different effects now, but the original looks better. I think the background is smooth rather than grungy and doesn't have alot of lighting effects so any more dramatic than how it looks now looks overdone.
The original [left] compared to the one with effects I used in the wall [right] (I'm getting better at cutting with the pen tool

):

So you can see it is quite a bit more dramatic than the original. I just basically wanted to bring out shadows/highlights and the get the jersey looking clean as possible. Thanks though

are u taking request of a sig mr Shannon??
Sun May 20, 2007 2:38 pm
Yeah I could give one a try.
Tue May 22, 2007 3:11 pm
are you taking requests for a 512 wallpaper? my psd wont work anymore for some reason, it crashed and my pc lags to try and re-install again. so you think you can recreate a kobe wallpaper like this?
http://www.nba.com/media/lakers/0607bryant1024.jpg except that when youre making it into a 512 bg and making the kobe into a 512 size, dont combine it rather yet, separate it. i needed this cause i was going to put it as one of the startup boot screens. like you know how it separates into the image of the player and the nba live 2005 bg? well, same concept. making a nice looking, but empty, bg and resizing the image of the 2 kobes maybe with a new "kobe bryant" logo as another. if you could do this, big thanks to you. i wonder how itll come out...

Where the heck are you getting pictures?
I haven't done anything on PS in so long, just because I can never find decent pictures.
Google image search yields shitty low res pics, or minimal high res ones.
Sportsline.com rarely has good photos. They're always taken from afar and dont actually capture any detail on the player.
Oh the ideas... but alas no pictures to work with. Oh yeah, and the photostore began embedding those nice watermarks right in the center of the picture...

Yahoo sports has really good pics.
Wed May 23, 2007 12:10 pm
Axel, you reminded me. I was gonna post this but forgot,
heaven.
Although most of my pics come from Yahoo. Only with the Sefolosha wall I used that source from the link above. Never really had a problem with finding good pictures, it just takes alot of time. Yahoo still has the best quality photo's IMO.

I signed up for RealGM ages ago but I still haven't got my account activated. It's a shame, I love that site. I tried signing up a few more times but no luck.
About that design site, I might sign up in a few months to discuss design because I will probably be starting my Graphic Design course in October. I'll be checking out the site anyway.
THE FAST, I'll get on to it. Nice pic.
