Lamarcus Aldridge will compliment Greg Oden very well in the post. The Blazers are in fantastic shape with Jarrett Jack and Brandon Roy in the backcourt. Incredible young talent there now.

Seattle caught a big break, and have an awesome replacement for Rashard.

But Portland. Wow. Oden, Aldridge and Randolph is one hell of a frontcourt.

Why would Portland draft Oden?

They have Aldridge who was really playing well at the end of last season, but they need a forward aka Kevin Durant. Travis Outlaw isn't working....

they should call seattle. swap picks and nab next years sonics pick in the deal. i bet the sonics would easily give up next years pick to swap with portland, hell they might give more than that.

YES. I was the happiest man in WA after we got the second pick. F*CK you Clay Bennett. After the Sonics move, Paul Allen will bring the Trailblazers up here (since he's the owner of the seahawks as well). So in a sense, we have the 1st pick.

However, if the Sonics do decide to stay, they're taking SPENCER HAWES. You heard it, SPENCER HAWES. There's no f*****g way would this team pick the best player available, instead we want local people to sell the tickets :cough: Luke Ridnour :cough:

Martell Webster could play the SF. I am the biggest Kevin Durant fan, and am officialy now a casual fan of the Seattle SuperSonics, but there is no way you pass on Greg Oden. It just doesn't happen unless you already have a HOF C and PF and a glaring whole at SF.

Well the Grizzlies officially have the worse luck in NBA history Oden doesn't really need to be on the Blazers IMO, and the Sonics really don't need Durant unless they get rid of Lewis. So, I'm glad they are at least going to teams that I don't see doing anything special.

How did the Bucks really tank. We were injured all year. Only one player played every game. We sacked our coach in effort to get the season on track. Redd's knee was shot, CV's shoulder was fucked all year, Bogut never fully recovered from his pre season injuries, Bobby Simmons was out all year from extensive surgery. We traded for a spark, who then got injured. When the playoff fell out of the equation we played our young players to develop them for next year. We're weren't like Boston who's own players admitted to tanking.

I'm just pissed we fell to 6th. Our chance of falling to that spot was 0.000682280. Damn it.

Well, for the sonics there franchised will likely be saved. I feel bad for Memphis though. They needed a top 2 pick to help the team remain in Memphis. Hopefully they luck out and get a stud at their pick.

When was the last time a team that had the highest chances of the number one pick actually get the first overall pick?

I don't like the Blazers, never have and never will, so I was relieved when I saw Seattle got the second pick. Kevin is going to average 20-22 points, 7-8 boards and a couple assists. Quote me on that.

well i said it awhile back, the celts will drop, draft noah, and suck all over again. i am just waiting to hear noahs name going 5th to boston just so i get to say "wonder if we can get top pick next year".

Well, as much hate there is for Noah, he would fit the Bucks needs for a defensive presence. A good shot blocker, rebounder and provides lots of energy. A proven winner, who would make our front court rotation Bogut, Noah, CV and Gadz. Could be worse.

What's a joke is how Noah would have gone 1st last year.

Soncis still have a fair way to go. I presume they will let Lewis go. So they will have a line-up of?

PG - Ridnour/Watson
SG - Allen/ Gelabale
SF - Durant/ Wilkens
PF - Wilcox/ Collison
C - Swift/ Petro/ Sene

I don't think that is a playoff team, but is a good start.

so anyone think mike conley is going 3rd to atlanta or are they gonna screw it up and skip a chance a at good pg for thier future? atlanta could be much improved next season with 2 picks in the top 11 in such a good deep draft. maybe nab roy hibbert at the 11th?

no they cant trade right now, but theyre allowed to trade on draft day.

Actually, teams out of the playoffs can trade with other teams outside of the playoffs. It has happened a few times in recent years.

Nobody is likely to make a trade on these picks yet though, they haven't had a chance to workout guys and they also do not know what the overall market will be like yet.

But Atlanta was one of the "tanking" teams? And their reward was keeping their pick instead of losing it altogether.

lots of teams tanked, not just boston.

If Memphis keep the no.4 pick and ATL doesn't get him, I think the Grizz will go with Conley. They are in need of a PG and him and Lowry would be a good 1-2 punch. Other than that, I don't see anyone else in the draft that the Grizz just need except for maybe Hibbert or Yi.

The Hawks have pick 3 and 11, do they take Brandan Wright/Al Horford at 3 and grab Conley at 11, or do they take Conley at 3 and get a solid big at 11? Sacramento (and other teams) could snatch up Conley if they aren't careful. It may pay to trade up a pick or 2.

Anyway, who will the Bulls take?

Figure Oden, Durant, Brewer, Horford, Wright and Yi will be gone. I take Hawes if he stays in the draft, followed by Hibbert then Noah. I would run down the main street in my city naked if it meant Yi slipping to number 9, I can't get enough of the kid.
