Tekken Thread

Just wandering if anybody plays this good fighting game. You can post your favorite Tekken character here why is he/she your favorite and maybe you can also post your favorite Tekken move here and also you can talk about Tekken here. I will go first, my favorite is Paul Phoenix and i like his special attack.

I haven't have had the opportunity or the chance to play the high acclaimed Virtua Fighter 5, which many have considered to be the best fighting game out there, so I'm stuck with Tekken. Not that I'm complaining, since Tekken is an awesome fighting game as well. I have Tekken Dark Resurrection for the PSP, and it's just amazing how Namco-Bandai displays the PSP's capabilities to it's fullest.

My favorite character? Primary is Feng Wei, Secondary is Asuka.

Feng Wei is a straight up beast, extremely versatile, effective (nicer term for being cheap ), and pulls one of the quickest punches in the game. Asuka on the other hand, has moves for practically any situation, and has a pretty easy and deadly throw to pull off (b 1+2), and also has a practically unlimited chain combo to top off.

The Queen of Tekken - Ms. Nina Williams - the b!tch is back!

Nina has it all - speed, great pokes, tons of combos/throws, you name it.

I always played with that Ninja guy. I think his name is Kage-maru.

Kage is in Virtua Fighter Drex. I'm a longtime Tekken fan. My favorite characters are Lee and Steve. The story for T6 has been realased, but it is pretty disappointing.

Silly me. In Tekken I always played with a blonde dude with weird hair. I think his name is Paul.

That's the guy narutoaddicted put in the first post, but the tags are messed up. Forest Law has always been my favorite.

George King? Anyway i have played tekken in a while in PSP and all i can say Devil jin is devil and heihachi is strong

I own everybody in this game .
I remember playing Tekken I in some cafe shop and I loved it.Now when I got a ps2, I just had to buy Tekken 5 .

On to the characters:
I mastered the fighting style of Nina Williams.I'm unbeatable with her.She has combos for any position and time.Once I went on a 97 match winning streak over my mate.He almost broke the controller .


Second has to be Jin Kazama,one of the best figters in the game.Had deadly punches and everything.


I use Asuka Kazama as my third.Great fighter when I'm in the mood for doing big combos.

Other fighters I use are King,Christie,Raven and sometimes Anna Williams.

For me, I play on the master level but started froim the easy level and I played Tekken, Tekken 3 and Tekken 5.Now I'm planning to get Tekken 4.Good you guys tell me if its good ?

I usually play my Tekken 5:DR on Hard, but most of the time I just play with my friends. Human opponents>Computer A.I. easily. As for Tekken 4, for me personally, I can't stand not using Feng Wei or Asuka, the new characters in Tekken 5, so I wouldn't touch Tekken 4. Tekken 5 is loads better than 4 anywho.

That is true Tekken is the best game to play with friends.Even better if they are challenging enough though .

Also I will probably get Tekken 4 for nostalgic purposes, to see if any characters are left out and so on and on. I love older games so thats why I'm buying it .

Me too - I'm no good at chaining the backflip kicks though. Law is clearly the man, however.

That's the easiest. I consider it my 'cheese' move to mock my opponent.

I'm not kidding, the developers created the character based on Jennifer Lopez. I forgot who they based Nina, Asuka, and Anna from.
As for Raven, I think it's pretty obvious. Wesley Snipes.

Tekken 3 was made for PS1 so the shite graphics is expected compared to PS2. Tekken 4 has horrible graphics for PS2 and it looks like it was made for PS1.

I think Yoshimitsu is based from the combination of the Predator and a character from an old Japanese sci-fi or samurai flick.

Now I feel smart .

I didn't know the majority of characters were made of famous people, I always thought they made them up without that.

I think also some characters were made of famous people i think (Eddy?)
