Please justify the hype..

I wouldn't say there's a whole lot of hype at the moment, though a focus on gameplay and the lack of another new innovation concerning control methods is something I'm sure most of us are happy to hear.

dear god let it be true. it was a dumb idea from the start. also enjoy the fact that they wont seperate the dunk and layup button anymore, maybe we can get a post up button again

We recently visited EA Canada in Vancouver and got our eyes on NBA Live 08 and came away impressed. Not by the game -- it's too early for that. But the EA cafeteria is awesome. Very impressive.

Freestyle Superstars is still in there, but they're not adding any new control related innovations this year. They actually mentioned removing some of the less realistic moves though, particularly when it comes to the High Flyer dunks.
