Not surprised, but it's not entirely his fault. The team doesn't even know what city they're going to be playing in, and are very close to just going into rebuilding mode. If they don't resign Rashard, they should trade Ray Allen and go for a rebuild, especially if they move cities (which is basically all but a done deal it seems).
As far his coaching goes, it seems like he was just letting the guys run up & jack up shots to increase everyone's scoring average. Overall the team just played terribly, even in close games. Their gameplan for pressure situations was to let Ray Allen fire off contested 3 pointers.
Sonics never should have let Nate go, good coaches are worth more than signing Earl Watson.

they offered Nate a juicy contract, he just declined and went to portland... and they didn't sign Earl Watson that summer, they traded for him several months later, near the trade deadline. They resigned Ray Allen that summer, whom I still believe is more important that signing Nate McMillan.
