New Jersey Nets heading for next season
The New Jersey Nets had a mediocre regular season in 06-07 and were eliminated in the second
round of the playoffs by the Miami Heat in six games. Heat went to repeat their championship
fueled by Shaq Diesel, who won the finals MVP with 27.0ppg, as the Heat won the Suns 4-2.
The draft lottery mixed up the a lot of teams' plans as the Seattle Supersonics used the #1 pick
for Kevin Durant and the Los Angeles Lakers were awarded the second pick, which they naturally
used for Greg Oden, it will be interesting to see how far the Lakers are able to go with their current
lineup. The Nets used their picks for Sean Williams (C - Boston College) and Sean Singletary (PG - Virginia).
The offseason provided no big news, except Josh Howard signing a contract with the Charlotte
Bobcats to leave the Mavericks, who lost to Phoenix in the Western Conference semifinals. The Nets
made contract extensions with Vince Carter but lost Mikki Moore and Clifford Robinson, latter to
retirement. Apparently fishing got the better of him in comparison to begin a new season under a
new, determened and hungry GM. The only new face the Nets were available to sign was PF Loren
Woods with a minimum contract. It's pretty obvious that he can't solve the team's post problems.
With a few days to opening tip, the Nets still haven't announced their roster for this season opening
night.
Here are the players who decided to hang their sneakers and head for the golf courses:

Wow this is going to be a great one. Already a sick presentation. This is going to be great, I'm excited to see how Oden does in L.A. I'm also waiting to see who you drafted.

Damn... Nice first recap. I'll definitely follow even though I pretty much hate everyone on the Nets.

Wow this update was amazing. If you keep this up at a steady rate this could become one of the best dynasties of the year. I think you should post the recap against the Heat for next week. Good luck and great job

The headings rock!!
Great dynasty! Nice weekly presentation.
(Would you be nice to do me also such nice headings? If yea, contact me via PM!)
Good Luck!

Thanks for the great feedback... seems like against Heat it will be.

Oh wow. Tuomas, this is sick. Probably the best recap style I have ever seen. Your screens look fantastic and the headers make everything look so damn nice. Cool Redman feature
To be honest I spent a few minutes just staring at all the visuals before reading the recap. Niiiice stuff.
Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:27 am
so far its great i'll follow
Tue Apr 24, 2007 10:53 am
If I recall correctly, the Nets are (or at least they were) pursuing Wilcox, so the trade itself isn't too far fetched. Good work on acquiring a much needed big man for someone that creates a log jam at the point guard spot.
Edit: Almost forgot to say sweet dynasty.

Current team record : 6-2
New Jersey Nets - Toronto Raptors : 88-87 (W)
New Jersey Nets - Atlanta Hawks : 87-77 (W)
New Jersey Nets - Orlando Magic : 106-119 (L)
New Jersey Nets - Miami Heat : 105-111 (L) - Game Recap Below

Player Of The Game : Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat)
New Jersey controlled the game through first three quarters and started the last one with success from the
perimeter. After that Dwyane Wade took over, scoring at will with two and three defenders around him. At
this point both Shaquille O'Neal and Chris Wilcox had fouled out, the latter had a great game. Vince Carter
kept the Nets within four battling with Wade but as the team missed their final chances to tie it with 1:30
left, Miami had no problem closing the game, as they had all the momentum and the crowd on their side.

Williamson signs with New Jersey
Corliss Williamson signed a one year contract with the league minimum salary to join the surging Nets.
He is expected to bring leadership and some toughness to the Nets' lineup.

The injury bug has bite several teams. Here are players that have been placed on the inactive list during
the week.
Antoine Wright - New Jersey Nets
Ricky Davis - Minnesota Timberwolves
Jermaine O'Neal - Indiana Pacers
Andrew Bogut - Milwaukee Bucks
Adam Morrison - Charlotte Bobcats

As two weeks of NBA Basketball has been played, there has been some surprises. Let's take a look at
some of the best and worse records from around the league.
6-1 : Los Angeles Clippers
7-2 : Charlotte Bobcats
6-2 : New Jersey Nets
5-2 : San Antonio Spurs
6-3 : Cleveland Cavaliers
The two best teams are the most surprising, since neither of these teams did good last season and
neither of them made any significant offseason moves, so it can be presumed that all things have been
clicking with them.
0-7 : Los Angeles Lakers
0-5 : Atlanta Hawks
1-5 : Golden State
1-4 : Washington Wizards
1-3 : New York Knicks
Atlanta has been on the bottom of the standings for years and the other teams have had to face some
top opponents, but the Los Angeles Lakers, who were one of the media favourites right from the start,
have had a miserable start. With a lineup of Greg Oden, Lamar Odom and Kobe Bryant, it would be an
unexpected catastrophe if this will continue.

* Please post your opinions on which game should be played for next update
** Sorry for the lack of boxscores on the part of simulated games. I'm still new to Live 07 dynasty
gameplay.
I decided to add even more stuff to this dynasty. From now on I hope that some of the most
loyal readers will take part in this. Before every update, make predictions on next weeks'
record, if there's four games, just post a 3-1 for example. For every win you get one point
and if you get all right, one extra point. At some point I will reward the winner somehow,
I'm still working on that part
So please make predictions for next week if you want to take part
That is all for this
week's update.
Wed Apr 25, 2007 11:48 pm
ill say 2-2 and play the Nuggets
Wed Apr 25, 2007 11:50 pm
Predict. :
(Rec = 2-2)
-Vs- Nuggets : W
-Vs - Clippers - L (Their record.)
-Vs- Suns - L (They're the Suns.)
-Vs- Blazers - W
EDIT : Oh, and I think you should play the Nuggets.
--------------------------
Great start for you. I really love your presentation. I think it's the best I've seen in a a dynasty.
It's funny :
Week 2 - All road games.
Week 3 - All home games.
Goood Luck woth this!

Great Dynsaty you got there, I just love the recap style, and the visuals are just

(couldn't find a word to describe that!)
For next week, I'll also go with 2-2, and I think you should play the Suns.
Good luck with this Dynasty!!
