DVD creator software.

Any recommendations for a free software that helps me make a DVD movie?
One that can create menus, chapter selections, and the whole works?
The software installed with my DVD writer is too slow, it's like watching the movie itself for 2 hours.

It means the burning process by the software is about the same time as the movie itself.

I use a great program which supports just about every format and you can make chapters, menus and backgrounds etc.
it's called 'ConvertXtoDvd' i don't think it's free, but i've got the full registered version if your interested...

Too many programs, I don't even know which ones are ok e.g. no spyware, ease of use, etc.

That's why I'm asking in the forums because some posters might know a good software based on their own experience.

Pinnacle studios is good for beginners, but you can't make too customizable stuff, plus it's not free.

I have the same, and I've used Nero 6, too.

I tried doing that for awhile, making my own menu's for movies, subs and all.

Downloading an xvid and converting it to custom menu's seemed like a good idea, but it looked so shabby (using Nero), I just quit.

Since then I just get DVD5's & DVD9's.
