Which one do you think is a better shooter?
Ray Allen for me
Mon Apr 09, 2007 2:19 am
I pick Allen too
Mon Apr 09, 2007 2:40 am
Ray Allen hands down, His jumpshot is pure.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 2:50 am
Allen
Mon Apr 09, 2007 3:08 am
No comparison, Ray Allen easily.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 4:31 am
Mike Miller.
Why no comparison? Redd edges Allen in ppg, FG% and 3FG%.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 4:41 am
They're virtually equal. Ray Allen is a career 39.7% shooter, and Redd is at 39.2%. Reggie Miller is at 39.5%.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 6:43 am
allen's sweeet shot!
Mon Apr 09, 2007 8:26 am
Redd - no comparison. His FG% and 3FG% are higher this season, thus he's a better shooter right now. I'm not sure why this thread requires opinions.

allen..all dayy

Ray Allen in his prime is slightly better then Michael Redd is right now, but Michael continues to improve in all aspects of the game, and he's better right now then Ray Allen is right now.
I take Michael Redd all day.

I like Michael Redd much more than Allen simply as a fan, but I think that Allen has done much more in his career than Redd has, so it is kind of hard to gauge them.
Allen's a very underrated passer and he's got the one-up on Redd in that department. Allen also shoots a similar percentage to Redd, but attempts way more three pointers (8.1 to 5.8 per game). Aside from that I don't really see much of a difference.

if Redd continues to improve as you say, i will pick Redd. only until this year are we seeing Redd can do other things then shoot from the outside
Ray Ray has always been known for being a great shooter (and recently ownder of the most 3ptm in a season) and adept ball handler/passer

Ray Allen
Mon Apr 09, 2007 8:09 pm
allen- he doesn't get low in the stance, but he manages to make it so easy with his quick release. redd- clutch like allen, sound fundamentally, also prone to rushing shots.. Allen is my pick.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:17 pm
Ray Allen, hes great at shooting all around so he gets my vote.
Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:23 pm
allen. he will break reggie miller's career 3-point record, no doubt

He's not

I thought the movie was poorly acted, and overall, the movie just sucked. Just my opinion.

Allen
Wed Apr 11, 2007 6:57 pm
allen is purely a better shooter, he can catch and shoot or pull up from the dribble from 3, redd is more of a catch and shoot player from long range. and % means nothing, rays % is low coz he takes so many shots, u think if he only took high % shots his % wuld b so low, redd isnt as consistant as ray either... Ray Allen is hands down purely the best shooter in the NBA as of now

Redd is a versatile guard, he's got a rep as a gunner but he drives as much as any guard, and gets high % scores that way. He also benefits from the entire Bucks team running plays to set him up w/ screens.
Redd: 69% jumpers, 31% inside attempts. eFG% 47% on jumpers.
Allen: 81% jumpers, 19% inside attempts. eFG% 49% on jumpers.
Redd is assisted 57% on his scores, Allen 47%.
This is also one of Allen's worst years in terms of accuracy, as he's been gunning it more to try and win some of these games. I've seen a few games where he just launches 3 pointers in the 4th to try and narrow the gap.
