hey PDub did I just play you just now? if so, you're a dirty ho
then you also witnessed the power of the full court press & in bounds steal and why it's fucking cheap in the game.

Just won my first championship with Denver Nuggets!! took me two seasons to get the team right but everything seems to be working now and on my 3rd season in i beat the Miami Heat 4-0 but the result told a different story, Carmelo hit 3 game-winners in the finals so all of the games were really close.
Championship Lineup
C - Nene - 12.1ppg, 13.8rpg, 2.3apg, 3bpg
PF - Charles Olsten (2k7 rookie) 5ppg, 10.3rpg, 1apg, 4.7bpg
SF - Carmelo (MVP) - 25.8ppg, 7.1rpg, 6.8apg, 1.9spg
SG - Smith - 15ppg, 3rpg, 3apg, 2.4spg (x- factor)
PG - Blake - 8ppg, 4rpg, 13.2apg, 1.3spg
They were the five who lead the team to the championship, Iverson and Camby retired after my second season which sucked as they were good and also they missed out on a championship, K-mart is still on my team but gets 5mins if hes lucky, hes turned into a garbage minute player as he isnt needed with Najera and Kleiza and Olsten playing solid minutes at PF. Hope to win another this year, the biggest trade or shock of my season was the Clippers acquired Amare Stoudemire in exchange for Elton Brand and Corey Maggette. The Suns are an awesome team now but they are old since Amare was their youth.

Hmm, I played a few games of NBA 2K7 on Sunday with a friend. He had no strategy apart from shooting threes with T-Mac, and he kept on hitting them even when I put double-teams, and taller players on him. I did some cherry-picking for about two minutes, but then started to simply run the outlet pass. He didn't stop me scoring and running the fast break off the misses, so I eventually I won :S

I kind of miss Live all the sudden. 2K7 has great, realistic gameplay that blows Live out of the water, but it is kind of boring. Sometimes, playing the game feels like a chore. Also, a HUGE issue is the lack of a intervention option. Playing the first 2 quarters of a game isn't fun. I may start playing Live again (2005 or 2006) after I finish my Blazers story.

well, I would say the only tihng that makes the 2k7 dynasty mode better than the Live dynasty mode would be the trading options. Especially the 3 team trading. the trade screens really help with showing how much each team is trading away to help simplify trading.

Assuming that most of y'all are NBA Live fans, some die hard and some just seem to have enjoyed it in the past......did y'all really switch over easily from Live to 2k???
I bought 2K7, and it's the first time I have EVER bought a non EA NBA Game without buying the EA one too. I don't know how, but in 97, I had Live, Shootout, and In the zone for PS1, and played them almost equally. However...even though I've had 2K7 for a while, I still don't think I like the gameplay more than Live 06. The only reasons I still prefer it is because of the rosters, dynasty mode and because you can import rookies. But gameplay wise, how do y'all prefer 2K7? They shoot way too slow, the game has a slippery feel, the crossovers aren't nearly as good, they shoot very weird shots sometimes even when you don't want to shoot, the ball floats in the air very slow, and the overall feel just isn't as good as the Lives have been to me.
I've been playing EA basketball games since Bulls vs. Lakers, but stopped with Live 2003. 2K7 brought me back - it's not perfect, but gameplay-wise, it's the best I've ever played.
You can import draft classes, but there's a damn glitch, at least for PS2. Not one rookie's alma mater is listed correctly, and I don't know how to fix it.
For rosters, draft classes, strategies and the best plays for each team, go to operationsports.com. I redid the Knicks playbook - so far I'm 5-0 in my association. Knicks may suck IRL, but their slashing style is great for gaming.

Woah, QBaller, I don't even have 2K7. But, knowing me, if I was losing by a big margin, I would be trying to steal your inbounds passes, which I did to the cpu alot in Live 05/06 and to some degree in 07.

Err! i cant work out how to get it going.. i connected the ethernet cable to the modem and xbox, what else do i have to do? when the 360 does the tests it says the connection is fine, but on IP it says failed.
What do i need to do to get Live going? (in order)

do you have your 360 plugged into a router? and does your ISP only allow a certain amount of computers hooked up at once?

Nah i have it plugged into my modem and the 360 and i just read somewhere that the grey cord you get with the 360 is only for routers and if you want to plug it directly into your modem you need a different cord:
Some Site wrote:The are two types of Ethernet patch lead, Straight Through and Crossover. Straight through is for connecting devices together via a router or switch, and a crossover allows you to connect two devices directly together.
You will need a crossover cable to connect your Xbox directly to your modem if you are not using a router.
You can get crossover cables from just about any store that sells computer parts. I know Dick Smith and Harvey Norman have them, but ask you local computer shop if they can make one up for you. Custom cables can be cheaper and you can get them in the length you want.
The grey cable that comes with the Xbox 360 is a straight-through

Hello everyone !
I just bought NBA 2K7 (XBOX 360)...
Well I'm a big fan of NBA Live series since 1998.
Now that I have tried NBA 2K7... I don't know anymore.
this game is beautifull !
Realistic and all...
It's not full of bug like NBA LIVE 2007.
I'm glad I bought this game.
I have a few questions for those who have the game...
Is there a way to patch the game ?
New roster, new cyberfaces, new courts may be ?
And second question, can you link me a site dedicated to this game ? Because I have a lot of questions... like : why can't I change the height and the zoom in the camera, Why is it too easy to perform an alleyoop, realistic sliders...and so on.
Thanks everyone.
LIVE against 2K...
I hope Live will learn some from them... Same for 2K but I must admit this time... NBA LIVE is trailing...

Unless you figure out how to open the NBA 2K7 files and access the graphic files (and you would need to dump all the stuff on a hard-drive first, I think), it's hard to edit anything more than manually create rosters. Or maybe I'm missing something.
Tue May 01, 2007 3:52 am
I have a simple question for you guys.
How do you perform an alley-oop? which button(s) do you have to push?
Tue May 01, 2007 4:43 am
left trigger + lead pass
xbox= left trigger + B
360= left trigger + B
Ps2= L1 + O
ps3= L2 + O
Tue May 01, 2007 5:00 am
if you are using a controller config that gets rid of the lead pass button its left trigger and regular pass.

i think a major problem with 2k7 and maybe live as well is the ratings system. I made a player with a rating of 99 for all shooting ratings and yet he shoots 30% from the 3point line. my point is that a rating of 99 should be almost impossible to miss. there needs to be the extreme rating for people like kobe. like you cant play like kobe really plays because what he does that most cant is make something out of nothing. he shoots in peoples faces and makes them. there is a clutch rating but i havent seen the effect of this yet. also, using the kobe example again, if your handling rating is 99 or near abouts, you should be able to break ankles easy, like kobe gets to the hoop so easily and yet its impossible to get past the free throw line in this game. and then passing. there is no rating that even allows for the skills of nash. he passes through passing lanes a cm wide. it seems impossible that the ball reaches its man. now obviosuly you dont want every one doing this, but they should lower all the ratings and make anything in the 90s be freakish. and you dont want to be make kobe or nash 99 either cause that means that there is no possible way anyone can do better. i believe the ratings need to be looked at and allowed for brillance and not just "good".
any one else agree?
Tue May 01, 2007 5:22 pm
yes i agree with the ratings. in practice mode, I still miss a good number of Arenas midrange jumpers with "perfect release" despite him being rated 99. it obviously isn't "perfect enough".
also, free throws should be affected by rating more. it's like the complete oppposite from jumpers. Ben Wallace & Shaq will swish all of his perfect release free throws no matter what. they should still miss free throws despite having a perfect release.
