cyanide, I don't think that someone here has a vendetta against Canadians, it's just that most Raptors fans are ungrateful towards Vince after all the time he played for the team and after he decided (like many other players in NBA history..) that he wants to be in a winning team.

Read my posts on page 17 I think it is with my argument with ThaLiveKing over the same issue. The fact is VC DID NOT TRY something he openly admitted. He embellished his injuries and acted like a 100mln 3 year old baby.

Naw, it had little to do with the Vince discussion. It was over the years that Matthew always made little snide remarks about Canadians in general and always had a personal disdain toward me.

As for Vince, he publicly admitted that he didn't play his best with Toronto in his last season before they were forced to trade him.

I'm finally happy the Raps are most definitely going to make the playoffs. I'm happy, but i dont really think they will get too far (miami or detroit will be conference champions im guessing). Raps work well as a team, which helps them out since they dont have many superstars other than Bosh.

The only team Im truly scared of is Detroit. Other than that I feel that we have proven without a shadow of doubt that we can beat every other team in the conference

:D :) :chug: Its been a while, Raptors fans.

Ain't that a sight. Let's hope for a long run in the playoffs, and MANY, MANY, MANY post-season runs in the future, and make lots of noise in that post-season :D .

Add Chicago in that. Yes, the Raptors have finally beat them in 15 or 16 tries during the last meeting, but even that win was too close for comfort. If Gordon had made that teardrop, the Bulls would have had that game. I'm not sure if Toronto plays Chicago again before the regular season's end, but if they do, a convincing win against the Bulls would maybe give me a bit more confidence for the Raptors to do well against Chicago.

So what if he goes down with injuries? that only means that he is giving his best while playing and becasue of his high-flying style of play, I don't see you saying that T-Mac/Yao/others are going "too easy" with injuries too.

But they're not serious injuries. He'll twist his ankle and roll around on the court for 5 minutes. He's a pussy and a cry-baby. He's also a very good player, but he's not tough.

W00t! Playoffs for the first time in five years! I'd say the Raptors exceeded all expectations.

Rumor is going around that Mitchell's gonna leave to be head coach for Charlotte, which is great, because it's be an ongoing rumor that Brian Colangelo wants a new head coach. It seems fairly certain that he's gonna snatch Iavaroni, but you never know.

Yes!!!
Raptors will make the Playoffs!

I have to say that Mitchell made a great job this year starting with 2-8...
maybe he can be the coach of the year though

He should be up for consideration, but I'm thinking Jerry Sloan will finally win it.

Wow, good to see Toronto in the playoffs again. I still remember those tense 2001 second round games. This year the team has every chance against Miami or whoever it ends up against, well Detroit could be tough but luckily it won't be the first opponent.

The Raptors fought back to get it as close as a 1-3 point deficit tonight against the Heat. Mister 10 Days Contract, Luke Jackson, played well tonight, he worked to get the best shot possible, passed up only average looks for open looks available to teammates, he scored 10 points.

I'm guessing the last two plays were drawn up by Sam Mitchell, it was him that put TJ Ford back in the game for those two final posessions, so I'm assuming he was running a play that Mitchell drew up for him (If someone else thinks otherwise, go ahead). Don't exactly think that was the right play to draw up, considering the fact they had subbed in three 3-point shooters in for those two final posessions (think they had Parker, Ford, Peterson, Jackson, and Bosh on the floor; three good shooters in Jackson, Peterson, and Parker), I was expecting they would run a play for one of the three 3-point guys; not to mention TJ Ford had a cold shooting night.

Missed the game because of work but its just one game that we battled back in, lets not forget these are the defending champs and it was in their house

Fri Apr 06, 2007 12:27 am

If the Raptors will be third in the East maybe they'll face the Wizards...and now
that Agent 0 is injured wouldn't that bad...

Ah!
I just saw a video of the game vs the Magic where Mo pete didn't give Bargani the Hand...
Bah...i don't know what could be happened...

Fri Apr 06, 2007 3:59 am

if there's a better time to be a raptors fan... it's now.. they are scorching.. i think they won't have a hard time facing the wizards when arenas is out.. i saw in arenas' blog in nba.com that the wizards find it a lil hard to play against the raptors coz everone can shoot the ball...

Fri Apr 06, 2007 6:21 am

Fri Apr 06, 2007 9:35 am

Kinda amazing, eh? They were one of the worst teams last year, and they were projected to be one of the worst this year as well. After adding 9 new players, they exceeded all expectations and not only do they make the playoffs, but they clinch the Atlantic division title. Pretty crazy considering if they're given a couple more years to gel and to gain experience, they're definitely gonna be one of the best in the league, barring injuries. Brian Colangelo knows his stuff.
