How do you think that is funny...he broke his leg you sick fuck. :?

Sun Feb 04, 2007 7:03 am

But i looks funny. Of course im sorry for the guy. The first time i watched, i had to hold up my knee, i was afraid of feeling the pain myself, just glad it wasnt me. But it is put on the internet because people think its funny, people like watching other people get hurt, they think its funny, just look at AFV

Sun Feb 04, 2007 7:36 am

Yeah, they think falling off of something, getting hit with a ball, etc. is funny. They don't think breaking bones, skinning animals, losing heads, etc. is funny. Watch Saw 3, let me know how comical you think that is.

Sun Feb 04, 2007 7:56 am

Even the people videotaping the film were laughing, even his friends on the trampoline were laughing at first, give him a break. All my friends laughed at that the first time they saw it.
Back to the game, I haven't played an arcade bball game since Street Hoops, which I was horrible at. My friends like the Street series but I've never played. I know it's not a sim but I just can't get over how unreal those dunks are maybe if i try the game I'd get used to it. Anyways graphics look amazing.

that happen to me too, twice... it was so funny at the time... one time he was hanging upside down with his feet stuck and the other one he just went in like if he was the ball...
An also blocking seems a litle easy too... just pick a good guy and stand with him below the basket..

1. That should be in the video thread.

2. That already is in the video thread.

i like the little button taps that come up above player heads every so often..gives the game a more organic feel instead of all the canned animations.

This game is pretty damn good. It just feels like a next gen game.

I love:
how they decided to keep everything arcade like so every dunk is just as spectacular as the alleyoops.
the missed dive animation (faceplant)
the breakdancing (just because its arcade)
the double dunks (wonder if we'll see a double dunk in the dunk contest this year)
the new trick system
the little buttons over the players' heads.

I like:
the ability to go shirt or skins (nice touch)
the court presentations
the lighting
the new gamebreakers (I had one last a good 5 minutes cause the computer and I kept turning the ball over)

I hate:
only 4 players to choose from
No Rucker in the final game.
that jumpshot animation.
collision detection (billups was going to shoot a 3, I pushed him in mid air and by the time he let go of the shot he was under the basket...still counted as a 3 too)

Pretty much it. I'll probably pick this up sometime.

IGN´s review:
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/765/765719p1.html
8.8 (Y)

looks pretty good, ill be getting this.

I played the demo & was unimpressed & deleted straight away....graphics were good but I guess I'm not an arcade type of guy....there are some really good aspects to the game & if the dunks & blocks weren't so over-the-top, I'd probably get the game....essentially I'd want a streetball sim/arcade game....

either way, looks good for arcade & NBA Jam lovers....

rofl, according to GameFaqs, this game blows.

3 heads to choose from in Create-A-Player?? hahaha

Fri Feb 23, 2007 10:57 pm

its actually pretty good

the 3 heads thing works good, you pick 1 generic head for skin color and hair style then you morph the shape of it by selecting two NBA player's heads.

Gameplay is very balanced, the only two things I dont like are its hard to block a dunk (you and stop them but running into them, but I have yet to actually get a clean block on a dunk) and the double dunk is pretty much near impossible to stop. And my create a player sucks, but thats my own fault.

Sat Feb 24, 2007 12:58 am

After reading the reviews, I'm not too excited. No legends, all 3 on 3 (again) and the gameplay gets even more arcadish than 3 > 2 > 1. Wrong direction for me

Tue Feb 27, 2007 1:51 am

I'm enjoying nba street homecourt as much as i enjoyed nba street V2. V3 didn't do much for me..it was simply V2 with less content. Homecourt survives on having fresh gameplay, online and top of the line next gen graphics even though the content level is low. (all the players look exactly like their real life counter parts)

EA's style is always to take a little bit out every couple iterations of their franchises just so they can have something new to put in the next time. Expect the next nba street to be called "nba street: the legends" or some shit...where they will put in a whole fuck load (minus the most important one) of them for you to face off against.

Pretty fun game. Got it last week, and have beaten it twice. I love the gameplay and graphics, they are perfect. But I don't like the short and easy Homecourt Challenge, and the easy-on-all-difficulties AI. Online is pretty fun, but laggy, and a double-dunkfest.

I'm probably going to send it back to Gamefly in a day or two, but I may try for a couple achievements. Question: How do you do jump-off dunks?

Thu Mar 22, 2007 9:03 am

^press down on the d-pad and wait for your teammate to crouch then run over him and press B

Thanks! Now I just need to get those online achievements. Hey, can you help me with the play 10 online games achievement? All of my online experiences so far have sucked.

For those who haven't seen it yet: NBA Street Homecourt Downloadables

Fri May 18, 2007 1:01 pm

I think we have leaked photos of Rucker Park for Homecourt

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sports/frees ... id=6171040

I know it says it is for FreeStyle the MMO but those new pics look nothing like the other courts, or the Rucker that I have seen in trailers.

Here is a link to the full quality pics in a zip file

Looks pretty cool, I might end up downloading that seeing as it will be free. The cheapskate in me isn't too willing to shell out more money for additional downloads considering new Xbox 360 games cost $120 here in Australia but in time I might succumb to temptation.

I don't think I've ever payed full price for a new game here Andrew. Keep your eye on bargains and specials (normally new games are on special at Kmart, Target or JB Hifi). Good site for that is palgn.

Also check out Dvdcrave who sell cheaps at really decent prices.

Hope that helps bring down expenses.

Thanks for the tip. (Y) Admittedly I've only paid full price for one game thus far (Homecourt, as it happens) since EB had a couple of good deals going when I picked up my 360. Still, I'm not a huge fan of spending more money to get a couple of extras for a game I've already spent a fair bit of money on to add to my collection in the first place.
