sprained knee..
Fri Feb 23, 2007 11:44 am
I broke my left wrist back in highschool.
It was during lunch...the bell had just rang for the end of lunch and a whole bunch of us were just shooting around. A volleyball came onto the court so i quickly grabbed it just outside the 3 point line, sprinted towards the rim...jumped from way too far out and at too much speed (off of one foot)...dunked it with one hand and held onto the rim too long...
The momentum swung me so i was practically parrallel to the ground...realising it was too late to let go i tried to hang on but couldnt and i fell from that height in the prone position...landing on my left wrist first.
I snapped it. It looked like a stair case. i was out for roughly 8 weeks + rehab.

How do you sprain BOTH ankles?
Fri Feb 23, 2007 6:13 pm
- elbow in the face that broke my glasses and forced me to get an MRI to make sure the headache wouldn't stay...
- sprained my ankles and fingers too many times to count...
- sprained my left wrist
....best for the end:
- messed up my back in an unsuccessful screen, which triggered a birth defect and pushed a disc in my lower spine. Now I can't really run or jump anymore, and I need to do exercise as much as possible if I don't wanna end up in a weelchair...
Hmm, that sounds a bit desperate and whiny, but well,
puta vida like they say south of the border...

The worst i have had is probably a lot of finger injuries, but luckily, no broken bones yet

The worst i have done: I broke a rib on one of my teammates in a practice game

I once went up for a layup at practice landed on my teammates foot, which led to me severely twisting my right ankle, spraining my right knee, and some pain in my right hip... It was the week before the national tournament so I wasnt happy!!! Luckly the physio got it all sorted out using ultra sound and some awesome strapping done by her I was able to play alright although with a lot of pain for the week of the tourney...
But to another problem pretty similar to flite 23's... I have a condition known as petellar tendionosis (not tendonitis)... Basically what happened is that all the muscles in my legs have developed at different rates so my legs dont necesserialy move correctly, its at such a minute level that you wouldnt notice it... And since the muscles arent the same strength or anything they pull on my leg unevenly... the result of this is my PETTELLAR TENDON GETS RUBBED AGAINST THE BONES IN MY KNEE... it hurts real bad after playeying...
The physio said I should do stretches for it, which I have tried but they dont seem to work...

If I'm not mistaken, aren't ribs considered bones?

Yes, but
i havent had any broken bones yet, although some small guy just hit my arm with his jaw pretty hard today, damn small guys!

But if you claim you haven't broken a bone, but said you broke a rib, that means you broke a bone. Unless you were trying to say that you broke your teammate's rib.

You are still saying that you broke one of your ribs in a collision with your teammate.
Try "I broke one of my teammate's ribs"
