Worst valentines day ever. Fuck relationship problems. Fuck girlfriends. Fuck everything. Normally it's a happy kinda fun day, but the timing this year couldn't have been worse and as a result has added extra pressure onto an already volatile situation.
Anybody notice I'm not a happy camper at the moment yet?

Happy Valentines Day Kids.
As for me, since I got into my car accident,
seems like I don't have a car and it seems that it's gonna be hard to get to my Valentines date.
So I guess I ain't going anywhere and she coming here hopefully. Haha

Another Hallmark holiday? Grrr.

Valentine's day is a load of commercialised bullshit. Luckily my girl agrees. I made her a card saying "Happy wednesday", and in the body it said:
"Dear [name],
I want to take this oppurtunity to tell you how i really feel - I feel like chicken tonight.
Nick. xo"
Yes, i'm freaking lame but hey, she loved it lol. I took her out for dinner also (i literally had chicken actually. Unintentionally), and as a result my penis and tongue are strained from having lots of sex all night.
Thank you hallmark.

Way to go Nick, thats the way to do it. I'm trying to figure out what my pseudo girl wants to do today (go out on a illini/her date consisting of dinner and a flick or go out in a group meaning i'm friendzoned) either way its cool i was just looking for a way to make today less depressing. But hey; one way is definitely not having classes where i have to go watch people cuddle in the damn halls/back of the room

Same here. We agreed not to buy each other anything. I already bought a dozen roses for our anniversary last week, and those bastards jacked up the prices by three times just because Valentine's Day was coming up.

It's too icy to go out, so even if I had a valentine I would stay home. I guess I'm gonna sit down all day and watch movies.

for those that do celebrate V day....why go to dinner + movie, that just seems so cliche. Isn't this the perfect time to do something original instead of being like everyone else?

Ahh, that's just commonplace for me. So I went ahead and brought in a fourth.

I took my fiance to a concert 2 days before Valentines Day & on Valentines Day, I didn't get her flowers or chocolates, but got her a DVD and a card and cooked her a meal at home.
Thu Feb 15, 2007 8:27 pm
Nice one X.
I think cooking a meal for her is one of the best things you can do.
You're a fool for buying her a card though!
Thu Feb 15, 2007 8:46 pm
I like the notes you made, Nick. Pretty much simple
Thu Feb 15, 2007 9:41 pm
Girls ftl. But I rang up my ex and told her happy valentines day and i think she appreciated that.
Fri Feb 16, 2007 1:13 am
Matt, you go to dinner and a movie because some chicks are into traditional classic stuff....original is good, but if you know she likes traditional shit, nothing wrong with keeping it simple
Fri Feb 16, 2007 1:22 am
I understand, but Valentines IMO is the worst time to do the dinner + movie. Unless you personally cook dinner and rent a movie.
Fri Feb 16, 2007 11:04 am
I'm normally not one to give in to cliches and predictableness either Matt... but to be honest i just used valentines day as an excuse to take her out to dinner. I was gonna take her out anyway, then i realised valentine's day was coming up in 2 weeks.
Plus it was a good chance to show that i care.
(Our relationship is reasonably new and budding you see
Thus i'm actually making effort.)

Yah, I'm in the same situation as Nick...I'm nice right now.
