Titans 'chise. 2007 season, week 1 complete!

Sat Jan 27, 2007 7:33 am

A Titans franchise! :proud:

What I did was downloaded the new rosters, simmed the entire 2006 season and began working with the 07 off season.

As you can see from the simulated season, the Titans regular season isn't that far off the one they just played. A slow start and then after the bye week picked things up. Vince Young and Travis Henry had great seasons, with Henry going for over 1800 yards and 10 td's.

The Chicago Bears won the super bowl, beating Miami 41-17. Tennesse finished 6-10 and will pick at number 11 in the draft. I will probably look at trying to get a WR or a DL with the first pick.

Transactions

2007 Offseason

No Titans retired.

Resigned players:

Benji Olson
Peter Sirmon
Albert Haynesworth
Lamont Thompson
Michael Ross
Rob Bironas

Notable players not resigned:

Robaire Smith
Kerry Collins
Drew Bennett
Bobby Wade
Chris Brown

Free Agents signed:

Terrell Owens, WR. 4 years/24 million, 9.6 bonus.
Wow, I never expected him to be available. I splurged and gave him a massive bonus just to ensure he'd be a Titan. Suddenly this franchise is exciting along with Young.

Chris Weinke, QB. 3 years/1.92 million, 270K bonus.
Backup to Young, he's cheap.

Mike Cloud, RB. 2 years/ 1.98 million, 300k bonus.
Insurance for if White or Henry get hurt.

Tony Beckham, CB. 5 years/ 6.35 million, 800K bonus.
Needed a corner, and Beckham is a favourite of mine from previous franchises. Cheap, young and will only be used in dime packages.

The move to Owens as captain is risky, but he's a leader and a warrior. Plus he didn't want to take Brandon Jones' number when he arrived, as Jones wears his famous 81.

Team Goals:

Make the playoffs

Develop Vince Young into an elite QB

Establish the Titans secondary as the best in the NFL.

Full game reports and pictures will be included in all regular season games.

Is this Madden 07 PC? Nice work so far - just be happy the game doesn't simulate TO attempting to commit suicide and calling out his teammates after every loss.

From the Titans site, it looks like its on 360. Will you be taking pictures again like your previous Lakers dynasty?

It's on the xbox 360... Owens probably wouldnt be happy with one reception for 15 yards, but I ran the ball almost exclusively to run the clock down in the second half.

The titans site is based on the 2006 version of the game. This franchise is 2007. And yeah, pictures, videos, you name it.

Looking very nice Matthew, hopefully I'll be able to pick up a 360 soon with the money I've saved up.
