Hey dont worry folks, SLAM magazine never really claimed to be a beakon of knowledge. Reading that magazine makes my head hurt most of the time.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 3:56 am
Most of these are laughable.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 4:40 am
Just the fact that Boozer isn't on there takes away all of its credibility.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 5:05 am
gotta be one of the worst lists i have ever seen. sometimes i think people make these lists so bad just to get people to talk about them. either that or they take a bunch of hockey fans and have them vote of the top 50 players and see what happens.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 5:19 am
Slam is sucha stupid magazine, so many things wrong. JKidd should be top 10, and Darko is on there and Emeka is not. Those are the 2 that make me the most mad.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 5:29 am
Ok....nevermind what I said before. The topic is kind of misleading. I clicked the link and saw that this list was made a long time ago. The "Redux" part was adding
SLAM wrote:My top 10 regrets for being on the list at all or coming in way too high/low low are:
1. Bargnani
2. Darko
3. Hinrich
4. Kidd
5. Kirilenko
6. Pierce
7. Bosh
8. Marion
9. KG
10. T-Mac
Guys I wish we included:
1. Baron Davis
2. Lamar Odom
3. Caron Butler
4. Emeka Okafor
5. Ben Gordon
6. Rasheed Wallace
7. Carlos Boozer
8. Deron Williams
9. Richard Jefferson (sort of)
10. Peja (sort of)
As well as...

49. Darko Milicic - Yeah, that was dumb.

That list is horrible, period. So many ridiculous picks, I can't take this serious at all.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 5:42 am
Gilbert Arenas >>> Lebron James, you will see in due time
Sat Jan 20, 2007 8:03 am
It should be important to note that the article was written on November 22nd, so a lot of them were based on guesstimation early into the season, but still, not having Boozer on there is pretty dumb.
Sat Jan 20, 2007 8:33 am
I wouldn't even consider Wade a top 5 player before this season. This year he isn't even top 10. Lebron is top 4-5 at best.
1. Kobe
2. KG/Hibachi
4. Dirk
5. Lebron
6. TD(switch with Lebron if healthy)
7. T-mac(put to 4 and push everyone up if healthy)
8. Carmelo
9. Yao
10. Steve Nash/Shawn Marion/Jason Kidd
I don't know why Jason Kidd is so underrated and why Nash is so overrated. Kidd is the best true point guard in the league and a better player too.

Theres no way Darko should be above BoBo Diaw, even if it is 1 place..
And Josh Howard should be higher.. and put Butler on there.

The fact that Ray Allen is only 26 shows that it means nothing. He is easily one of the top 10 players in the NBA.

I agree that Allen should definetly be higher up, as for the top ten i'm not so sure. Who would you take out for him to replace?

These rankings are morefor last season than this season.
Last season Bryant was the best,I think the MVP was just stolen from him,but this year he's less a scorer, more a passer, and the funny thing is the Lakers being like the 5th best team in the West. LeBron was a beast, and he still carries a weak team to the top of the East, with goot numbers, yet he became lazy,he's not so highlighted(he is bery highlighted, not like last year though). On the other hand,Wade has been absolutely wonderful this season, carrying a veteran weak team that is very tired from a long season,to a respectable 18-21 record, when Shaq is injured. Great aswell is Gilbert Arenas, the leading scorer(with Melo being ahead, but with less points, and when he returnes he will definitely score less than so far)of the NBA,and a player who made at least 10 shots with 3 or less seconds left in a Quarter. other honorable mentions of players Who've been good this season(and better than last)are Melo,Dirk,Josh Howard,Steve Nash(he deserves MVP this year, last year it was Kobe's),Ray Allen,Tracy McGrady(MY MAN)Carlos Boozer and there are still more.
And that's it with BSing for this weak,I'll just finish with a Wade>>>>>>>LeBron and walk away. WALK,away.

Why do so many people think Wade>Lebron?
Because Wade draws more "bullshit should be no calls" fouls.
And also LeBron introduced the infamous "5-step" no call move.
Oh and lakerskobe247 post made my left eye drop and my right eye red.
