Arenas Goes Down as Cavaliers Win

The Cavaliers pulled out a win in the season opener in a game that was never really close. The main news in this game is not that the Cavaliers won, but it is that Gilbert Arenas got hurt. While he was driving into the paint in the 3rd quarter, Drew Gooden accedently stepped on Gilbert's foot causing him to hyper-extend his knee. It is not known how long that Gilbert will be gone, but he is expected to be out for a majority of time. "Well without Gilbert, we pretty much suck." said coach Eddie Jordan while talking to the press. "Gilbert was our whole team, and I think that he will tell you the same thing. That's why this is so devistating."

As the game went on, the Cavaliers kept playing great. Zydrunas Ilgauskas was given the ball down low on almost every play, and he would put the ball in the hoop. Big Z had a nice game scoring 30 points and wrapping up 13 rebounds. He even made a three-pointer. "I was hitting all my shots tonight, and it was really a great way to start out this season." he told us after the game. This is by far Ilgauskas's best season opener in his career. But he didn't get the gameball because he isn't black. LeBron was once again given the gameball.

LeBron James had another double-double to add to his career with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He didn't shoot to well from the field, though only going 7-16, and 1-4 from beyond the arc. Eric Snow and Larry Hughes combined for 36 points and 12 assists to make a great backcourt combination. For Washington, nobody scored into the twenties, but four players reached double-digits. They didn't shoot that well (41%) but that was mainly due to the injury to Arenas. Antawn Jamison had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in an impressive effort. Also, Etan Thomas produced well off the bench with 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Nice win!
07 only has 82 game seasons right? That sucks, I'd like to see you go through the playoffs with the Cavs but that might take a while then. Or are you simming some games too?

Thanks, but yeah I'm actually simming all the games. I don't really like playing the game, so I thought it would be fun to sim the season.

Ah, that is why Big Z got 30 points. You should be aware of the Primacy ratings. Or "Z" will be the man scoring 30 ppg this season. Your writing is quite good though, and the pic looks cool. Keep it up, Cavs for Eastern Conference Finals !

Simming is actually "fun" in live 07... there's a lot of things to organise.

Duncan Leads Spurs Past Cavs

San Antonio Box Score

By the time the first quarter was over, the Cavaliers were already down by 22 points. Not a good way to start out a ballgame. "That was the main reason that we lost the game, the first quarter." said coach Mike Brown after the Cavaliers loss. "We were too worried about trying to stop Tim, Manu, and Tony that we weren't playing the game." The Cavaliers did have a good 2nd quarter though only allowing 12 points, most by Tony Parker. The score at halftime was a lot closer than it started being 51-43 now. "We executed better on offense and played man defense after switching from the zone that we were playing at the beginning of the game." said LeBron James when asked about what changed in the two quarters.

During the third quarter, the game was pretty much controlled by Cleveland again as the Spurs came out at halftime shooting in a bad 0-6 slump. The Cavaliers capitalized off this and scored 27, which brought the game to a 70-70 tie after the third. "We came out shooting on fire with two huge threes from Larry and LeBron. Than we just kept rolling through the quarter." Anderson Varejao said to a reporter after the game. As the game progressed, the Spurs finally found their hot hand in Tim Duncan who had only scored 10 points prior to the 4th quarter. Once the 4th quarter was over, Tim Duncan had 23 points and a few huge momentum killing shots. The Cavaliers could not find an answer and fell down by 4, which eternally made them lose 93-89. That puts Cleveland's record now at 1-1.

Damon Jones came off the bench to score 10 points and diming out 2 assists in 10 minutes. LeBron James had another great night, but a better night shooting from the field going 13-23 with 28 points, 5 assists, and 6 boards. Zydrunas Ilgauskas finally slowed down after a career game only scoring 14 points and ripping down 9 rebounds. The backcourt once again had a pretty good game after Hughes scored 14 and Snow scored 10. For the Spurs, the gameball went to Tim Duncan as he scored 25 points, a season high, and grabbed down 9 rebounds. Parker and Ginobili combined for 30 points as they led the Spurs past the Cavaliers in a close game.

Hot, a KIG nba live dynasty. I'd appreciate if you lighten your pictures a little bit more. When did you get this for PC?
