OMFG EARTHQUAKE JUST 90KM FROM ME

It shook so hard a while ago, reoprted to be 7.1... the center is just 90 KM from me...

January 17, 1994. Northridge, CA only 15-20 miles away... a 6.7 earthquake when I was like 5 yrs old... shook the house so hard the front door was making all kinds of sueaky noises and the after shocks scared the shit outta me. I stayed under the desk the whole day. it's made me uneasy about earthquakes since then.

evidently we had one during one of my highschool basketball games...I didnt even notice.

I think it's the power generated by the earthquake, equivalent if 6 atomic bombs were exploded deep, deep underground (the source of the earthquake, in the earth's crust). Even hydrogen bombs are tested underground by them crazy Russians in the past.

Yup, last year we got a 7.9 I made a thread about it, but I can't find it now We didn't go to school for a week, but the sad part is that 12 people died.

From the news, only 1 died... Around 20 got hurt, sadly two of them are sons of the dead mother.
Good enough though, considered very lucky that only 1 died

When I was 5 we had one a 5.6 I think? I dont remember it because it took place at night.

We get lots of earthquakes here in the center of a massive continental plate.........
Seriously though, that's too bad that that mother died.

Just read that it is two earthquakes after the other in a short time both with magnitude of 7.something, so the earthquake having the power of 6 atomic bombs is possible.

Had one on January 1st about 30 kilometers away from my home. 5.1 on the scala. The house was shaking like crazy but not even a single glass was damaged.
