Jesus... why on earth would someone choose Touré over Puyol? Or Cannavaro over Thuram? Or Fabregas over Makelelé?
I understand they're "better" right now, but you have to consider the fact that Touré, Cannavaro or Fabregas will never be nearly as good as Puyol, Thuram and Makelelé were in their prime...

I actually missed that post. Your response is pretty much what I would have said but a little more razzly. I can somewhat understand the Puyol argument but not the Thuram and Makelele because as you said its not a lifetime achievement award.
