It'S kinda like 2K (sim) they continued this series

I think I had NBA Basketball 2000 on PSX. probably the same game as the one you posted. Wasn't a very memorable game so it probably wasn't very good.

i think that was it, i was just wondering which games got smited by EA on the PC

I played the inside drive 2000 demo. It was nowhere near Live 2000 (graphically, the players were kinda cheesy) thats probly why it isnt on the pc anymore. Probly just bad timing or EA went big in 2000 knowing there was going to be another NBA game for PC. Who was the commentator in inside drive 2000?

i found the demo for inside drive, but i cant seem to play it..... it just crashes on me

LOL im gonna try this. Its probly been 6 or 7 years since I played it.
EDIT: works for me. Also I think the commentator is Kevin Calabro (sonics) How come NBA Live never has Kevin Calabro or Kevin Harlan?
Some Pros and cons vs Live 2000
Pros: You can move along the baseline while passing it in.
20 sec and full timeouts.
Commentary a little better than Live 2000 at times.
You can choose to jump or just put your hands up. (Can you do that in Live 2000?)
Cons: One major con I came across was with 3 seconds left in the game I was down by 4, called a timeout but didnt get the ball at midcourt.
Camera not as smooth as Live 2000.
Live 2000 has a great menu and has face import, custom teams and all that good stuff so its a better game. But I think If they brought this game back to the PC it would give live a good run for its money. This demo was a little better then I remember it.

yah i got it to work to (just had to restart) it was fun to play something older like that.
did you notice the people on the sidelines were only like 3 feet tall?
I used to play NFL Fever 2000 from Microsoft for the PC, too bad they ditched all their PC sport games

The real game had 3 refs! Live never had that. Watch your guys when they sprint up court lol just kind a funny. That was one thing that kinda sucked compared to live was the players were kinda cheesey. But still a good b-ball game overall.

I have the full game, and it was incredible because it was very challenging. I loved the commentary. It had a great interface. I believe the roster updates and patches would have been very easy for that game. I remember looking at them a long time ago, I think it was a comma delimited text file for the roster, and mirrored half faces for the cyberfaces. It didn't match Live 2000, but it was a nice change for a while.
Mon Sep 25, 2006 1:21 pm
Did you ever have Live 2000 though?
Mon Sep 25, 2006 3:05 pm
Yeah, I have Live 2000. I still do.
Mon Sep 25, 2006 4:35 pm
The commentary from that demo is priceless: "Good golly miss molly!", "Sorry Charlie."
Mon Sep 25, 2006 4:59 pm
Its Kevin Calabro, voice of the sonics. I wish live had him that would be sweet. I didnt hear him say "Good golly miss molly"! I need to play it again lol.
Put your mouse over his picture in top left.

Me and my mate played the Fox one!
Good fun, me and my mate battling it out, me with lakers, him with spurs.

Its funny that with this whole next gen gaming out, you guys seem to be having more fun with games from the past century.
With that said, I remember playing the demo for nba action 98.. I wanted that game so bad, but never got the full version.
Nba live 2000 is still the best nba live game EVER. Ingame subs, spin moves that were realistic, refs, realistic and fun game play... it had it all. And no cheesy freestyle.
I have fox sports too, it was fun being able to dominate with kemp. Good memories. And the whole halftime presentation leaves nba live in its wake.

Fox Basketball 2000 or whatever it was called was wack but it had it's moments... I played it some, the specialty was turnaround quickrelease 3 pointers that were water always.
