Can't save bookmarks in Firefox

Sun Oct 22, 2006 4:45 am

Well thats basicly it as the topic says,I can't save bookmarks in Firefox.
Here is the problem and I had it for like 2 weeks. When I decied to save a bookmark,it takes me to the window where I want to save it and stuff. And when I press "OK",it just stayes there and nothing happens. Its really anoying,if I want to save bookmarks I need to use Opera, which I don't really like.I tryed uninstalling/reinstalling,but its still there.I even tryed deleting the Firefox folder in Program Files, which I coudn't delete by the way.(which I think is the problem)
So I'm asking for your help,if anyone knows how to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

are you attempting to bookmark a page, or export your bookmarks?

i assume from what you've said that you're bookmarking a page.

where it asks you what folder to bookmark in, the default should just say "Bookmarks". drop down the list, and select the other folder by name of "Bookmarks". it will then bookmark the page as per usual.

Andreas thanks mate that worked. It deleted the whole bookmarks folder and I tryed to bookmark this page and it worked, thanks again (Y) .

And koberulz, yes it did happen when I tryed to save a bookmark (umm I mean bookmark a page ) ,I didn't try to export my bookmarks though. Also the solution you mentioned didn't work for me.But thanks to Dahl its fixed.
