Some new stickied threads?

I would say add in the two new threads, and take out the "Announce Your Birthday Here" and "Name Change Thread". As far as the birthday thread goes, there are only so many birthdays you can put because its not like someones birthday will actually change. And as said before, the Name Change Thread is just mostly spam.

were popular and useful, but there's a point when we no longer want to know about you, and that point is now (meaning we already know about everyone). I say drop these two.

As for the others, I think that although they are seldom used, they still serve a purpose and there's no reason that they can't stay stickied. It's not as though we have 15+ stickies and you have to scroll down to find them, there's only 7 of them.

I'd say sticky the Movies thread out of convenience, but unless there's a whole bunch of people who argue for the Rap thread, I don't think it needs to be stickied. Like it's been said, it hardly ever drops off the first page, and it's not hard to pick out.

Given we're on the issue, what's up with the announcement's & sticky's in General Live 07? My God, you have to scroll down half a page to find new threads.

It's mostly to deal with the official patch and the explosion of posts on the release of NBA Live 07. Now that things are calming down a bit we'll start taking those down.

I suggest eliminating the birthday and profiles thread, and sticky the Movies thread, and a music thread (not limited to just Rap/RnB).

Alright I think this is enough time, thanks for all of the replies. Based on what people have suggested here, this is what will happen:

The Movies Thread will be stickied, it had slightly more votes for than against.
The Rap/RnB thread will be merged with the two or three rock threads we've had and sticked as a music thread, because I thought that was a great idea.
Letting Off Steam, The Milestone thread, Info thread will stay stickied
Announce Your Birthday, Name Change, Basketball Profile, I'll Be Away threads will all be unstickied
The Letting Off Farts thread will be stickied and re-named, so people know what it's for exactly. The Letting Off Steam thread is massively successful but we have nowhere for people to post things they're happy about.

Thanks again, any feedback or whatever feel free to post it.

Edit: Ignore that last bit, unless someone can actually find the Letting Off Farts thread because I have no idea where it is.

I don't like the idea of merging the different music threads, but other than that sounds good.

A unified music thread. Just think about the discussions and debates Rap and Rock fans will be having against each other!

I'm all for the music thread. Much more diversity and like shadowgrin said, there'll be more debates.

I'm loving the stickies, it makes future discussions more enjoyable.

Would it be possible to split the music thread back into the Rock and Rap/RnB Thread? I don't think this was a good idea at all, it's like merging an NFL and NBA thread. When you need to find something older in one of those threads, you now need to browse 70+ pages.

It doesn't even need to be stickied, a thread like the Rap/RnB Thread isn't important for the forum itself and it's almost always stayed on the first page.
