Official Madden Discussion Thread

I am thinking about getting this game.

1. Is there a fatigue problem?

2. What are the system requirements?

i got it on PC, its an awesome game. i cant say if its shit compared to other maddens coz i only played madden 2003 like 4-5 times. my computer is 256mb ram, 2.4Ghz and a 256mb graphics card, and it runs it pretty well. the RAM really kills it though, like in the opening minutes of a game its quite skippy but it eventually smooths out. i havnt noticed any bugs, its a great game, and if u get it use Steelerz sliders - they are very good

Actually I always loved the Madden series. I've been playing Madden since 01 but this years edition is just totally fucked up. At least the European version is. I don't know if you ever heard about this:
There's this huge bug in SuperStar Mode on PS2, called the 'Aaron Brooks Glitch'. What happens is that if you are not controlling your offense (e.g. you're on the sideline) the quarterback drops back and then instead of throwing it foward he drows it like 50 yds backwards. This happens about 4-5 times a game. It's just terrible because who wants to always give up safeties and touchdowns? And who wants his QB to have 60-80 fumbles and 2000+ negative yds a season? Nobody!!

It seems as if EA is actually trying to cover this all up with saying that it's a gameplay issue or that your disc is dirty

Can you guys tell me if you have this, too? Especially people from Europe and Australia. The American version doesn't have this glitch...

they've delayed Aussie version about 2 and a half weeks....maybe they're making last minute tweaks with fatigue & other bugs....unlikely, but we'll see....

A lot of players that were rookies from LAST season still don't have their own potraits. Gamplay is still pretty much the same like most EA games, EA thinks a hard game is one where the CPU cheats instead of playing better. Say your RB breaks a huge run, all of a sudden some fat ass DT will catch up to them in the open field, and this is with RB's like Tomlinson.

The DB A.I. on All-Madden is a f-n joke. They constantly take themselves out of position, leaving CPU WRs wide open. I still notice suction-blocking, matador O-Line blocking, CPU QBs completing passes when they get hit, and NO CUSTOM PLAYBOOKS IN FRANCHISE MODE!! Shameful, but that's what happens when one company has a monopoly.

i found playing 06 with mates to hard because when u are trying to make a play with the QB, just before you throw it you choose which player your going to throw it too, and as you do that you click the button that's highlighted about their head and it shows your mate which player your going to throw it to, because it highlights the direction

Well, last night I played Madden 06 for the first time and it was fucking awesome. Made my want to get Madden 07. (typos not involved in that sentense)

Now, you guys are talking about these bugs and crap. Should I spend my money on this buggy thing or get Madden 06 for cheap... I'm worried now lol

I really don't know how you got thoose glitches guys.I played like 20 if not more games and I didn't notice even one glitch.My advice is if you love the game play it,if you are only looking for glitches then stop playing games.Every game has a glitch or two,but if you enyoy the game then you will not notice it.

The bugs are mostly for Xbox & the Xbox 360. Playstation 2 is bug-free.

in my opinion, Madden 07 is better than NBA Live 2005 and 06

I had previously asked in this thread if Madden 07 was worth buying or if it was just a carbon copy of 06 (I deleted the post since nobody replied). I was stupid enough to disregard online reviews and go buy the game. This game is exactly the same as 06! The gameplay is exactly the same except for some new blocking features that I don't even care about. The graphics are the same except for a new field texture. There are no new actual player faces. Players that have recently proven to be superstars and stars (DeAngelo Hall, TJ Houshy, Cadilac Williams, and many more) all get generic faces. The only realistic player faces are the ones from 06 and they haven't even been improved. I thought that EA had given most of its attention to the Madden Franchise as we all know how bad they fucked up on NBA Live 07. But no. It appears EA Sports has practically abandoned its games for the PC and focused on XBOX 360 (funny thing is, the reviews for Madden and Live 07 also suck for the 360 ). Fuck EA Sports. I'm returning this garbage tomorrow and unless they don't start devoting some attention to PC, I'm not buying anymore of their shit.

That's why I always try to download the game first to see if it's good...(yes, I know it's illegal). But, that way I can see if it is good and worth buying. If it's a good game, then I support the company by buying the game. If not, then I delete it and end of story.

it could be your video card or the video cards drivers

run the EasyInfo.exe in the support folder to see if ur card is compatible with the game, if it is compatible, then update ur drivers
