I'm 15. I think at my pace I should grow to be like 6'3".

Oh man we just had a tough loss in a summer league game for my school. we lost 53-30. I scored 8 overall, 6 in the first half. This game showed me why I need to increase my vert. I missed to wide open lay ups. Don't think they were like fast break and i suck, they were in the flow of the offense, but i was downlow and did a nice spinmove, but one time it was deflected from behind by a kid that was like 5'3". If i could jump higher I would have been able to lay it in easily. Also I think it would improve my jumpshot.
BTW, I play Point Guard, and Small Forward, I can play anything but those are my 2 primary.

well, at least u didnt do this...
a guy i know about 2 years ago went up for a layup on a fast break all by himself, he looked down while dribbling (no handles) looks up to lay it up, but he was too far under the rim, the ball hits the bottom of the backboard, bounces down, he lands on top of it and falls backwards onto his head.... the funniest thing i have ever seen, quite a few ppl were watching too

Hahahaha

. What position do you play? Also are you good? Come to America so we can ball.

i play point guard, but im a better fit for a SG because i can score, and my main strength is shooting. im alrite, but a certain player on our team takes bout 30 shots a game, and usually scores about 10 points... so i mite just quit the team and wait till next year, when he wont be selected
even tho i am only 16, im planning on finishing up skool in 2007, starting a 5 year architecture course in auckland, then in 2012 move back down to chch, then about a year later to sort my shit out move to the US, not sure where but most likely NY or Cali as architects get great money there, and here in NZ they arnt paid so well but we are very good at it. one day lol

Don't use ankle weights, it will only screw up your legs. And if you guys are still that young, then you will gain a lot of athleticism with the maturation of your bodies. I'm 19 and my body still hasn't stopped growing outwards and that will continue for a couple of more years, which means my athleticism will improve if I work out correctly. You guys have even more room for improvement. Just train basketball and do an easy version of Air Alert, stretch and add weigthlifting when you're 17, 18 or so and you'll be just fine.

The Crossover, How old are you and how strong are your legs? (especially knees) If your still quite young and your legs arn't the strongest or get hurt easily, its not worth the risk.

Guys remember, Jumpsoles and other vertical leap programs are not for everyone, you should be very athletic and able to do well in workouts such as squats, etc. Meaning lift good amount of weight, look it up!
These jumpsoles can be dangerous if you dont have a good balance in workout and your body, it requires good amount of force to the legs so be very cautious when thinking of buying these products.
Ployometrics are probably the BEST way to increase vertical leap but they require very athletic capabilities and the ability to lift good amount of weight for squats and good balance.
Research before going on with it because it could lead to long term injuries.

the exercises you do with jumpsoles are mostly of the plyometric variety
but yeh- you should be in shape/been doing leg workouts for a few weeks before using the jumpsoles
crossover- did you try checking google for 'air alert'? lol
