Fixing the broken bridge...

I have noticed a number of hatred on us Pinoys in this forum, I being a Filipino am disturbed by this..

I was once an active member of the Pinoy threads (way back in '03-'04) though i became inactive since..I remember before when there was harmony between the mods and the Pinoy community here in NLSC that they(mods) even tolerated the "Official Pinoy threads" for sometime

As ive read in the "koberulz" thread, much of the hatred came from the Pinoy threads and, though i am not privy as to what really happened re: flame wars, Illegal versions and such, I Apologize in behalf of my fellow Pinoys who have misbehaved in the forum.

it just hurts that the unfortunate actions some of my fellow Pinoys has tarnished the image of my nation as a whole, and for that, i would like for us to let bygones be bygones and to start over again.Peace and God bless

since those involved in the mess were all banned, isnt it about time we forget the issue and at least stop the insults thrown at us filipinos in general?

Nothing against you, in fact you're the complete opposite, but most of the Pinoys here deserve what they get. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) at how many of the stupid, needless or duplicate threads in the General Issues are made by Pinoys. It's not that we have something against the Phillipines, it's just that most of them here are retards, and that has nothing to do with their race.

But dont people from other countries post meaningless posts too? isnt it too harsh (and unfair) to say most pinoys here are retards? I rest my case..

Well, yes, but it is mostly Pinoys who post about illegal versions of the game.

Erm well the posters who know what happened in the past just make a little fun. I haven't encountered any post where someone really insulted your country.

yeah but i feel the hatred sometimes..like if someone posts someting stupid..and a reply says "look at his location, philippines" its like there is a hunt for us filipinos and, i hope im wrong, that we arent welcome here in NLSC..

Its because most of the time theres a stupid post or an illegal download, its from a pinoy. Its been like that for a long time, check out the 2005 General issues, that go pretty outta hand. If somebody sees someone post something like "i dont have the subs problem, why are you all complaining" then you see Location: Philippines, your like, "hmm I thought so". They tend to make stupid posts, stupid threads and just in general act like retards. Your nothing like them, so I wouldnt worry to much.

The majority of the idiots that dwell on the forum are Pinoy, its that simple.

I normally don't like to go and stereotype members of the forum, but it's a rarity to come across a Pinoy that doesn't dwell in the 07 forum section typing out incomprehendable sentences.

There are exceptions though. Shadowgrin and Null17 are sexy posters.

Its pretty hard to when the one thread riddled with fucked up posts and illegal downloads is called "OFFICIAL NBA LIVE 2005 PINOY THREAD: MABUHAY!!!"....

I personally have nothing against Filipinos. All nationalities have made stupid posts/threads on ths forum (Americans, Auusies, Canad......). I do think its kinda messed up how yall are treated but hey, what else can you do but let it go. Its only gonna happen more when you admit your bothered by it. If you go about just being a good member and not making yourself dumb then nobody will ever have anything to say. Start the Pinoy Revolution.

Exactly. A few of the good posters that are Filipinos (or at least we're led to assume that they are), don't recieve any flak for being a Pinoy at all. Make smart posts and do something productive with your posts, that's not too much to ask for. But given the history and the countless run-ins the forums have had with Pinoys I think it does create a bit of a stereotype that can be easily broken if you simply follow the rules and don't act dumb.

NLSC forum is the only one of the big forums that I know (I'm not familiar with all that many,10-15) where harsh language, rude remarks and obviously racist posts are something that happens on regular basis... i was very surprised that mods sometimes encourage such behavior or even participate on their own

And people at the NLSC dont get banned because they are pinoy, they get banned for doing dumbass shit.

Anyways on the Pinoy issue... I don't dislike Pinoys in general, but after the hundreds of them that have flooded through the forum and caused problems I have to say everytime I see a new poster from the Philippines I pretty much expect them to be a pain in the ass. Wicked Waway you've annoyed me in the past with some of this kind of thing, but at least now you're taking the proper measures and making a thread about it so my respect level is risen. I think you've just got to learn to ignore the Pinoy related insults, especially since they won't be directed at you. As time goes on and we got more good Pinoy posters and less retards people will stop insulting them alltogether.

Just wondering, seeing as I registered probably just before the Pinoys who were doing the illegal stuff got banned, but was PinoyIDOL the one that started the "stupid PINOY" movement ? Anyways, just ignore the negative comments about Pinoys. Not being an idiot is about enough to not be negatively viewed upon here, making insulting comments about who you are invalid. The fact that Coolmac was pinoy didn't help you guys' case that much either. I don't have a problem against the pinoy people, if you're a moron, you'll be treated accordingly on the forums, that's just the way it is.

hopefully this hatred is only directed at the ones who created trouble in the thread and it does not reflect your overall opinion of Pinoys (non NLSC Pinoys for that matter)

Jae's stated in the past several times that he doesn't hate Filipinos in general. So have the majority of the NLSC population for that matter. They know that not all Filipinos are crazy spammers as seen with the general liking for shadowgrin and me. Which is how we've managed to ignore the thousand of Pinoy insults.
