Official NBA 2k7 Thread

Finally got 2k7 for xbox. It kicks live 07 in the nuts. gameplay pretty much the same from 2k6. love the jumpshot animations. does the current gen 2k7 have the same amount of jump shot anims as next gen?

current gen doesn't have the same amount, but it still has plenty of shots (unlike Live on PC). The sig shots are perfectly done


btw, another thing I liked about 2k7 was the over the back fouls, jump balls, 5 sec back to the basket, and goaltending on the rim. I was shocked to see this detail in an NBA game because Live has never had these aspects of the NBA. I tihnk I suggested the 5 sec back to the basket rule in a previous Live wishlist...

The realism like that is phenomenal. I remember when I played 2k6 on 360 for the first time and got called for an over the back foul I was like 'this detail actually exists in a game!'.

Just wondering are there more signature free throws captured this year? It was always cool to watch Rip and Arenas etc. doing what they do in real life.

Yeh there is more free throw animations in 2k7 like steve nash, rick barry in 60/70's all stars under arm three throw (whoever mentioned that in the post b4 many thanks it was so damn cool and it was funny just like marion's jumpshot) and others, they mentioned about extra free throw animations in previews of 2k7. oh yeh with the jumphots shame u cant pick a certain one for your custom player in current gen, damn need a 360 or ps3

i still gotta figure out post moves, im gonna keep on trying but if i still dont get em then ill ask.

must admit though pretty disappointing the amount of shoes avaliable in 2k7 got rid of the converse shoes, must be nike doesnt have a deal with 2k anymore pls correct me if im wrong

one more thing can you edit a player's position eg. mehmet okur is listed as a pf but i want to change him to c in association

oh well gotta play some nba "live took a dive" 07 and go bug hunting, they arent too hard to find.

game will release at $99.95....pre-orders at $89.95....I reckon you can get them from Target, KMart of Big W for $79.95 within the first week or so after release because at least one of those stores has $10-$20 off sales on 360 games at any one time....that being said, I've got it pre-ordered already from EB so I get it on the day....

one more thing can you edit a player's position eg. mehmet okur is listed as a pf but i want to change him to c in association

yeah that's one thing I still haven't figured out yet. One of the things I like to do is go through the roster and fix all the positions to my liking. I found a way to edit in the Association mode, but can you edit the default postions and numbers for Quick Play?

you go to GM>Roster and then click on the player. edit is an option

it's a game if you feel guilty for buying a differnet game that's pretty sad, but you did make the right decision

I was just looking at all my games, and saw only one other non-EA game. Too bad EA was so lazy with Live.

Though NCAA 07 is my favorite game of all time.

How do you use the Rookie team that you unlocked? Because I unlocked it, and yet I can't seem to use it. Too bad, I really like Rookie v. Sophmore games.

yeah, I bought saints row from EB for full price of $119.95, but next day saw it in Target for $99.95, so I purchased it & returned EB copy & put money towards pre-orders....

damn, can't wait for this game....another 16 days & I'll be playing this baby

Yea i got GTA San Andreas for 79.95 about 2 years ago lol at target in the first week. I was like hell yea what a great price while it was like 99.95 at eb or more i think it mita been 119.

damn that video for next gen is tempting me for a xbox360, but im a loyal playstation user waiting for ps3...then again i was a loyal EA user since live 96 for sega genesis....


Those dunks are crazy.. then the signature stuff after dunks like shaq's move, or kobe fist.. it only makes it better, im buying this tomorrow, sorry EA. That sub bug made you loose a potential customer

no 24/7 mode is the downfall, but its ok, might be for a good reason; so i dont play the game all day and not study
