I can't beleive that the Cardinals survived. Im reliefed..

No predictions for the ALDS? I'll give you guys mine.

Twins over Athletics in 5
Yankees over Tigers in 4

Padres over Cardinals in 4
Mets over Dodgers in 5

I cannot wait for today's Twins/Athletics game. Santana vs. Zito could have the makings of a classic game. This is a game the Twins need to win or we are in trouble.

Fri Oct 06, 2006 12:53 pm

Still liking the Twins over the A's, Riot?

Fri Oct 06, 2006 2:02 pm

Hey...the first two games have been extremely dissapointing. The starting pitching has been great but the offense, fielding and bullpen have been crap. They deserve to lose this series. However, the series isn't over. Brad Radke is going tomorrow and hopefully the bats can wake up in Oakland. If we can win Game 3 we will throw Johan Santana out in Game 4 on short days rest. We just need to extend the series one more day.

It ain't over...

Fri Oct 06, 2006 3:10 pm

We? Yeah I hope you accept the blame for losing then as well, seeing you're "part" of the team..

Fri Oct 06, 2006 9:21 pm

Tigers got the split in New York. Having Todd Jones in the game in the 9th was a little nerve racking but he looked pretty damn good. Verlander got out of most of the jams and I knew when Zumaya came in it was gonna be up to Jones in the 9th becasue Zoom is lights out.I'm rooting for the Twins to win their next game. Radke's got some serious guts to be pitching with his arm all fucked up. I heard he might be done after this year.

Yes...my name is Joe Mauer. Heard of me?

I'm not watching any games because it is too painful, but I'm really rooting for Oakland and the Yankees.

I want the Mets or the Cardinals to win it all though.

What a horrible playoff apperance by the Twins. I really thought they would come out with momentum and play Minnesota Twins baseball. They did not. They deserved to lose that series. Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer, Johan Santana and Boof Bonser are the only players who stepped up.

Riot, nothing is worst than what the yankees displayed.
Especially Mr. Rodiguiez going a ugly 1-14 in the series

And this guy is making $25mill/yr

He could quiet possibly be the biggest loser ever.

Sun Oct 08, 2006 11:34 am

You're calling him a loser for making 25 million a year while you're on the internet on a saturday night? lol..

I'm checking ESPN and stuff to see who wins, but its too painful to watch. Can you actually sit through a full game and watch it?

Riot, how can you pick the Padres over the Cardinals in 4? Carpenter will win tonight and win both games he has pitched in.

I had Carpenter winning one game and the rest of the rotation is kind of iffy. Suppan pitched a great game yesterday, though. I just thought the Padres with their stellar pitching would be able to fend off the slumping Cardinals. I think my 4 game prediction is wrong but I still think the Padres can win the series.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 1:03 pm

It can't be 4 any more because the Cardinals have won 2 games. I don't know if the Padres can win 2 straight, especially if Carpenter's starting game 4.

Suppan didn't pitch great yesterday. He was off with a lot of his pitches and let up some key hits. He got pulled after the 4th I think.

Great game today by the Cardinals though. Encarnacion, Belliard, Yadier, and Spezio all had clutch plays in the win. After the first inning, Carpenter pitched great and didn't let up any runs. The celebrations are always fun to watch, plus the city is going crazy.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 10:00 pm

My bad...Weaver pitched Game 2. Weaver had a good game and Suppan had a decent game. He gave up 3 runs in a little over 4 innings but that isn't bad.

nah man. i haven't watched any of the games since the Sox hit 90 wins (which was because i had put a wager on that win total). i'm more a fan of the Sox then baseball itself. the NBA is a different story though

it would be crazy if Thomas and the A's won the world series. if there is one team i would root for, it would be the A's

(N)

Tigers up 1-0! I was seriously expecting a huge letdown after the win on Saturday (I think I'm still hungover) but somehow the Tigers got it done.

And how about Kenny Rogers the other night? I've never seen him pitch like that. His hook was pinpoint. When they showed pitches on "k-zone" he was on the black almost everytime. And after Jeter almost took his head off he was dialing up his fastball to 94-95 which is unheard of for him.

Fri Oct 13, 2006 9:43 am

hehe just enjoy it, OLE E. if the tigers win it, then no one can say anything. and if they do, like something stupid like the manager is a fool, it really doesn't matter ;)

Sat Oct 14, 2006 11:36 am

No matter what happens I'm happy. I'm such a die hard tigers fan that i actually watched most of the games in 03 when they lost 119 games. 1 more win to the World Series!!!

Fri Oct 20, 2006 1:48 pm

Tigers and Cardinals..

aka a boring world series no new yorker is interested in..

Fri Oct 20, 2006 2:04 pm

I wish the Mets had won tonight, it would be an even sweeter victory for my hometeam to destroy both New York teams in the playoffs  I suppose the Cardinals will do, though
