So I am thinking about getting a new computer sometime in the future (few months) and I'm thinking about if I want a desktop or a notebook. Can someone give me some good notebooks and desktops to look at so I can compare? Keep in mind I do not play computer games or watch DVDs on a computer so that does not need to be a concern of mine. I mostly want it to watch videos/listen to music, go on the internet and do my homework. That seems to be the only things I do on a computer anyways. Can any of you give me good ideas and tips about buying one or the other? If any of you have had a good or bad experience with a certain model please let me know! Thanks.

if you mostly watch videos and do homework and dont play games at all then I'd say a notebook is DEFINITELY the way to go, its portible so you can take it to college or whatever and you can watch movies on the plane and stuff...

Considering your needs, go for a notebook.

Your needs scream for you to get a notebook.

Review on the internet of some brand names (epinions.com, PC World, PC Magazine, etc) for a notebook computer. If you want a desktop, I'd research components then put it together.
