Its good for your second sig. Keep it up, you have potential. (Y)

Wed Aug 09, 2006 7:36 pm

Yeah, add a border around it and it would be better. (Y)

Wed Aug 09, 2006 9:47 pm

how can i add a border?
thanks for the comments guys

heres a new one, im stil tryin to get the pic of mj to stand out alot better

what u think

i think what you did wrong with jordan is that you like blended the background into jordan, so if you look at it now only the text stands out. so fade the text a bit and maybe put something around jordan like a glow or duplicate gausian blurred layer

well i had some time today to make a sig. this is my favorite so far but i dont knw which one is better.

what one do u guys like better?

Sun Aug 20, 2006 10:48 am

I quite like it, if the text was better it'd look excellent.

Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:37 am

Very nice. I personally like the 2nd one more (Y)

To add a border, create a new layer, Select All > Select > Modify > Border how many px you want > Edit > Fill

Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:42 am

thanks for the info

Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:50 am

2nd one is pretty nice except the 5 doesnt seem to fit well there. Can you post a version with it elsewhere just for the sake of seeing it because I keep thinking that section is a state with his number on it signifying he runs it or something.

Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:52 am

i think it will look stupid with the five somewhere else because of the gaping whole left over

Sun Aug 20, 2006 12:41 pm

heres one i just made earlier. i dont really like it but thought i would share it anyways. does anybody know where i could find or what type of font the writing TEXAS is on vinces jersey? ive been lookin thru countless catagories but can find it

You could do something like this...

REGGIE#5
BUSH

...doesnt matter either way now regardless.

ok heres two walls i made...

Tmac:

Anquan Boldin

Im a big fan of simple, clean cut walls so i probably wont be making many things with deep backgrounds and lots of effects. Both have the same "feel" to them

What do u think?

Wed Sep 06, 2006 11:21 am

The Boldin one is good, the TMac one isn't. All the T-mac one is is brushing, text, and a pasted picture. Lacks depth.

Wed Sep 06, 2006 11:23 am

yea as i said to hammertime the background looks like pubic hair under a microscope lol. thanks for the feedback

Wed Sep 06, 2006 1:06 pm

^^LMAO.

Boldin one looks pretty good and simple. It has a sorta streamlined effect which looks nice. Keep it up.

Wed Sep 06, 2006 4:04 pm

All I have to say about the Boldin one is that the text would look better close to that grey bar, and the pic of Boldin has a lot of noise. You can use the blur tool (not the filter, the tool) at a low setting and take it to some of the areas (particularily the red parts of the jersey and his arms.) But the colours and design are great. Good font choice.

heres a work in progress... again, no brushing and very simplistic.

im also plannin on adding more writing, changing the font maybe, and adding some sort of background picture. as a base, what do u guys think of it?

Sat Sep 09, 2006 2:31 am

i really like it (Y)

only problem i see is the "stripe" things arent very smooth...very nice composition tho and the font is nice too...and i like the first one better ;)

Sat Sep 09, 2006 2:38 am

thanks man, i also noticed that, i guess when i get more comfortable with photoshop il learn how to fix all these little things. its nice to hear a compliment like that from such a great graphic artist :) by the way, your tracy mcgrady and rookie cards are looking very very nice
