And you're in the Knicks thread way too much..

I think every Bulls fan has the right to be very, very interested in the Knicks and their record, at least this season

.
And you're right, I shouldn't have attack that moronic clown the way I did. I'll try to fix that now:
Now, TownBalla or whatever your name is: this is a Knicks thread. We post Knicks related stuff (info/thoughts) here. Like I said before, I was just posting a random observation, not everyone who posts after you plans to discuss with you. Actually, I did wrote 'You play Live way too much' with which I was reffering to your arguments on why the Knicks should draft Solomon Jones over Mardy Collins. Have you even seen those two play or do you base your opinion only on their description from NBA.com?
Wed Aug 02, 2006 4:20 am
i havent seen mardy play, but i've seen jones play......and i do not need to see mardy play, to know that the knicks do not need another guard........and about the jeffries thing, i was basically sayin that chris wilcox is a free agent, why are they going after another small foward....when they just made a gamble on renaldo balkman
and i would really appreciate it if you not call me a moron again, because i havent called you or anybody in this forum a name.
Wed Aug 02, 2006 5:30 am
Wicox can't be had for MLE and none of the NY guards is actually useful. Collins gives them a big PG who can defend and handle the ball while Francis/Marbury play off the ball. And Balkman is probably just a scrub, but I agree with you on the fact that JJ would be a bad aquisition. Woods was quite decent last season and can be had for much less than JJ.

He's not a #20 pick but scrub? You'll see.

He's a 6'6 PF. Think a smaller Jerome Williams. If even that.

Despite not knowing me, you tone such disrespect? If you'd known me and shown disrespect, I'd understand. But despite knowing me, you post in that fashion?
Shows how much respect you have for your fellow forum members. Will someone please, please for the love of God make that white flag emoticon a standard one?
Oh wait, given I'm asking that, I'll probably just be ignored, that works well too.

all i said is that "i dont know who you are"......i see no disrespect in that, but if i disrespected you in any kind of way, i apologize..
Back on subject
i really think balkman will bring energy to the team and defense...he'll probably be guarding the tough guys, which will make steve francis and marbury more active on the offensive end.......i honestly cant wait til the season start to see how IT handles this, (rotations, playing time, coaching ablility)....also how the players play under IT's coaching

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but it's been a while since we've added new emoticons so sure, why not...

6"6 PF in college --> SF in NBA generally.

by the looks of this summer league video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NETrOPRG8d4 i think that the knicks rookies are reallly playing together, and i was very impressed by renaldo balkman
before you guys try to flame me, i already know that it is only the summer league..but it is still impressive
Thu Aug 03, 2006 4:13 am
It's SL highlights. Did you think there would be footage of Nate hogging the ball, Frye being soft and Collins doing absolutely nothing? I did like the Balkman's dunk over the Cavs, though.
Thu Aug 03, 2006 4:35 am
i just like the fact, that everytime balkman was under the goal...he threw it down and didnt settle for lay-ups........it shows his tenacity and energy..and he had great defense, i really hope he plays that way during the regular season
Thu Aug 03, 2006 4:45 am
How do you know he never settled for lay-ups? Perhaps the author of the video just put his dunks into the whole thing and decided to let the lay-ups out. And his defense is a bit overrated, IMO. Everyone are saying that he isn't much of a man defender (yet), but his help defense and hustle and energy are what makes him a superb defender and yet the stats don't show it. As for now, he's Ruben Patterson lite.
Thu Aug 03, 2006 9:34 am
well last year the knicks rookies lived up to there summer league hype.. hopefully this group can and the knicks can build on this young squad and slowly get rid of the overpaid worthless vets they have who don't understand teamball
Thu Aug 03, 2006 10:52 pm
I thought this SL was actually quite crappy for NY players? Frye was constantly injured and didn't make things happen, Nate hogged the ball and Collins did absolutely nothing. Lee was great and Balkman played solid, but I don't know if we can call that 'hype'.
Sat Aug 05, 2006 5:19 am
In today's NY Daily News, it says Zeke may look at Darius Miles if the Wizards match Jeffries' offer. Darius Miles? Great - another athletic player with no concept of fundamental team ball.
Sat Aug 05, 2006 6:04 am
what the fuck is IT problem........we dont need a sf.....we need a big man, that can defend......to tell you the truth, the knicks dont need nobody, they just need some coachin..........they have alot of good players on the team, they just need to be coached to play team ball, maybe is the knicks run alot of plays on the court, instead of playing a free for all.....maybe they will play better team ball.....
Sat Aug 05, 2006 6:44 am
I actually wouldn't mind if IT traded Miles for a guy like M. Rose.
If Portland really wants to get rid of Miles, how about Malik Rose for Miles straight up?
And then give Miles rookie kinda playing time, make him work hard for it. You know, like he hasn't done shit in the league and still mainly depends on his athleticism (

). I still see something in Miles, even though he hasn't done shit with 3 teams already.
NY isn't going anywhere the next 5 couple a seasons so they might as well give a guy like Miles a shot (I know, we need to get rid of those kind of players, but I'd say get rid of Marbury, Francis, those kinda guys).
ps. they need to send Eddy Curry to that boot camp from that TV show with those kids who are messed in the head.

Isn't that what they hired Larry Brown for?

Before the Magloire trade I think the Blazers would have considered this. But now I don't think so. Realgm is reporting rumours of Q-Rich for Miles. I think that seems like a reasonable trade.
Sat Aug 05, 2006 8:00 pm
In no way is this a good trade for NY. Miles is a cancer. Period. NY doesnt need another player like that...They need to rebuild. But then when there Dolan and Isiah are in charge there will be no such thing. Just loads of overpayed and overrated players will come to play. And lose
Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:02 am
The knicks open up in November with 10 of 17 games on the road. Only 2 games will be against teams that aren't expected to do much this year (Atlanta and Minnesota..add celts twice if you consider them too.)
It's going to be a tough start to the season, but that might be a good thing if your counting on Isiah to be fired this season.
