Windows Media Player 11

I've been using it just recently and I really like the design and overall feel of it so far. Just wondering what impressions other have of it so far. Improvement? Utter shite? Have your say. I really just like the skin.

I think it's an unnecessary upgrade and can be a little tough to get used to. If it aint broke..don't fix it. Windows media player 10 is the best in series and i recommend everyone stick to that for as long as possible.

I really taste the style. The only thing I don't like about WMP is that it still doesn't play all the video formats.

I only use Windows Media Player to play WMV's that are encoded with a format not supported by BSPlayer. For the rest I always use BSPlayer: I like it because the "player" and the "screen" aren't merged like WMP; because it uses less RAM than WMP and also because I have the possibility to mount subtitles to every movie/video I see.
To play MP3/Audio files I use iTunes, so I really don't use WMP but I really like the skin.

Never heard of BSPlayer. I googled it up and it looks pretty cool so I'll give it a run then post some feedback.

Tried it, didnt like it much visually. I guess everything else is fine but the looks arent where I''d like it. I'm very nitpicky I know.

Codecs... but VLC is better imo.

I've always thought WMP was a great program, but I still prefer iTunes. Both are memory hogs, but iTunes obiously gets the nod since I do have an ipod... but if I didn't I'd probably go with WMP.

Duh, it's a dual media player - both video and audio. You can either be troubled to download the codec for each type of file, or download DivX player (like me).

I only use WMP for the bass.

the layout is definatley better but il stick wif WMP 10

Yeah this design is really good especially if you have a Vista theme to go with it... But I'm having trouble with it now since there isn't the traditional menu bar on top anymore

im gonna install it, it looks very...sexy

I was still using a skin of the interface of WMP11 on WMP10, didn't know it was released already. Thanks for the heads up.

Had it for a while. It's a nice design, I think it's a reflection of Windows Vista that's to come.

I'd say he's going for the three classifications: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

I'm still using WMP 10, it suits me fine.

Actually the WOW is there on previous versions already, I guess you just missed it.
Btw, does anybody have problem with its loading time? It seems to take longer time to play a video than the older WMP10... Also seems to take up more RAM.

this is great, it fucks up my wmp! doesnt work anymore, theres an error everytime i open it.

look at that, what do you know, theres beta 2 now. better get this one and see if this will fix the prob.

WMP 11 is very good player.
