Harry Potter to bone horses....

Sun Jul 30, 2006 10:04 pm

in an exciting career move.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is to appear on the London stage next year, playing a stable boy who has an erotic relationship with his horses.
Richard Griffiths will co-star in the revival of Peter Shaffer's 1973 play Equus, to open in the capital in March.

Radcliffe and Griffiths are currently shooting the fifth Harry Potter film.

The role will require Radcliffe, 17, to appear naked and symbolically blind six horses. Richard Burton and Peter Firth starred in the 1977 film version.

He might just be a teenage star who won't have a great success after the Harry Potter films are over... I guess he has to try something shocking to will get global attention onto him again... Weird though, can he appear naked on the TV underage?

Sun Jul 30, 2006 10:42 pm

That's fucked up... awell, at least now my girlfriend won't think he's "cute" I'll be like "cute enough to FUCK A HORSE?" or something less aggressive.

Appearing on stage is even worser... Naked with horse on stage?

I don't know how much he's getting paid to do this, but I find the "symbolically blind six horses" part disturbing.

INTER-SPECIES EROTICA!

I was hoping for the title of the thread to some sort of witty joke or pun to it, but instead it was the last thing I wanted to hear about. :|

Is he doing this for just the fun of it? you'd think he could score at least a small movie role if he needed some money.

He has indicated a desire to play different roles and not just be known as that guy who played Harry Potter. Mission accomplished, I guess.

How about: "Cute enough to root Phar Lap?" That softens the vulgar slang with the more acceptable "root" and classes it up with an historical reference. Well, perhaps not but I'd say it's slightly less abrasive. ;)

I think it's supposed to be an artsy play and I guess he's hoping to garner critical acclaim. I checked on wikipedia and the play was inspired by a psychological account so that's even creepier since it also happened in real life.

She's only been in the country for 8 years, I doubt she'd know who Phar Lap is

In that case, Makabe Diva.

Harry Potter is one of those actors who will always have to put up with being the "harry potter" actor his whole career. He'll only ever be recognised as who he acted as. But this role might take the cake! :o Now he'll be known as that "horse fucker" actor.
