Try this, I'm pretty sure it meets all of your needs.

Otherwise, here is a list of a bunch of webhosting sites. You may find what you're looking for here.

he wants a site to upload his files. by the sounds of it he doesnt need a site to setup his forum, he already has the files he needs he needs a webhost to upload them with php and mysql enabled.

half these supposedly "free" sites make you pay for the domain.....i went with awardspace (the only completely free one), but their databases are down atm, and they have no clue when they'll be up. that and they've disabled SMTP. :x

seriously, i've tried about five places now...this is getting rediculous.

well if you want a domain as in .com .net then of course you have to pay..there is no such thing as a free domain..they give you sub domains tho...freehostia works fine for me...they all work...well good luck. if i find more i will contact you

Don't be so cheap, just pay.

Sun Jul 23, 2006 11:46 pm

no.

@jerry: with freehostia there's no option of having a sub-domain that i could find.

Sun Jul 23, 2006 11:49 pm

http://freehostia.com/free_hosting.html go there and sign up, it is free

Mon Jul 24, 2006 12:20 am

no its not. its charging me 32 bucks. i made sure it was only a subdomain, but it still wants 32 bucks. and a phone number. and an address. no thanks.

So basically you're saying you want to host your files on the web, on your own website, that has a fully functional FTP server...for free?
You're insane. The only solution is to pay.
