Please teach me

Please teach me how to put pix or clips below my name with avatar.

i am really ignorant. pls show me step by step. i know i will understand if someone just tells me the steps

1) Go to your Profile
2) Scroll all the way down to the "Avatar control panel"
3) Enter the location of the picture you want below your name in the textbox there
4) Press Submit

what do you mean by location?

as in a URL or something? so i have to get a picture from a website and type the location there? is this what you call "hosting"? pls explain i dont understand

cant i use a picture from my computer instead?

ya have to link it to a web site (write the website's URL there)

like Dan's picture is linked to this URL,

http://media.nba.com/media/playerfile/dan_gadzuric.jpg

You can't make it a picture from your comp unless you upload a pic from your comp to a website and link it to that website...

in other words, in the space privided where it says avatar just type a direct URL of a picture...

Yes, it's the URL to an image that is online. You can't link to one that's on your hard drive.
