GAME RECAP

It looked like San Antonio had the game under the control in the first quarter. The crowd was pumped up and everybody that was there. San Antonio opened up the game by scoring, rebounding, blocking on every sides. In the first quarter they lead 26 to 22. In th 2nd quarter it was a pretty much balanced out game. Both teams were playing well. At halftime the Spurs were up by 5, and they were confident on winning the game. In the 3rd quarter, San Antonio continued to attack behind Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili who had over 25 pts each at the end of the 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter, that's when the Phoenix Suns scored 47 points, however the Spurs werent aware of that, allowing that many pts. There was about 5 sec. left in the fourth, score was 124-121, for the Spurs, Nash had the ball, everybody though he was going to shoot, he had two players on him. Nash couldnt get the shot and then he passed it behind his back to an wide open Shawn Marion in the corner for the 3 pointer........he shooots, he scores! The Phoenix Suns tied the game up at 124 with .8 sec left. After the timeout Bowen inbounded the ball to Tony for a possible GW basket, but he missed and we're going to overtime. In the OT, the Suns played some great defense and were scoring well. They outscored the Spurs 21-16 in the OT, despite a 38 point performance by Parker. Suns got their confidence back in the 4th quarter and managed to keep it to win the game in overtime. Spurs will have to win Game 2 in Phoenix to send this series to an final and deciding Game 3. Pop said "I'm sure that my team will do good in Game 2, the season is on the line and I know what exactly they'do for moving on to the NBA Finals", said Popovich.

Game 3 will be played, in San Antonio, Texas. The pressure will rise high and there will be either the Spurs or the Suns fans that will go home with broken hearts after Game 3. After this is all set and done one of those two teams will be facing the Detroit Pistons in the NBA Finals this year.

Thanks man, I was thinking of putting C. Maggette in the starting five to take B. Bowen place, but I dont know, Bowen has a lot better defense, stopper, and Maggette's a highflyer..........so i dunno, any suggestions ?

GAME RECAP

The San Antonio Spurs are moving onto the NBA Finals for the third time in the last four years. It sure wasnt easy but they prevailed the Phoenix Suns who gave them a lot of trouble with their role players on and off the bench. This game was very hard for both teams and it was a very classic game, it was one of those agmes that nobody knew whos gonna win. Both teams played well, but San Antoio was a better team that night and die to their victory they are moving onto the NBA Finals. Tony Parker who had 14 points made two of those 14 count the most, he tied the game at 97 with .2 sec. left to send the game to overtime. The crowd was on their feet the whole OT period, and in the OT both teams battled like it was the finals and it was the last game for one of these teams. Spurs turned to the 28-year old from Argentina, Manu Ginobili who carried the Spurs throughout most of the game. Ginobili also scored the GW basket with 1.2 sec. left, also blocked Amare Stoudamire in the OT, and then the Suns took a timeout, Marion inbounded the ball to Steve Nash, he shoots the 3-pointer....and he misses, the San Antonio are moving onto the NBA Finals where they will face the Detroit Pistons.
