Mike James, one who wasn't very popular to the fans in the first place, demanded a trade today. When asked why he wanted out of Orlando, James replied "I just don't like it here, I'm a yankee and I should be playing in New York or somewhere close to home. I've been getting bad vibes from fans here and I don't think I play much of a role on this team coming off of the bench, I'm a starting lineup type of guy".

Orlando Magic General Manager Trevor Workman will be looking to deal Mike James in the coming days. When asked about James, Trevor replied "You know, you can't make everyone happy. I understood that when I made the deal to Toronto to acquire Mike it was going to have some defects. I'll try and deal him up north where he claims he will be happy. I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes".

Mike James Shipped to Boston in six-player deal.

Who knew a demand from one player could drastically change a team in just one day? For Morris Peterson, who was enjoying himself in Orlando, it's just business. Peterson commented, "I really liked playing for coach Hill and I enjoyed being around Dwight and the rest of the guys, but I guess Mike wasn't happy here and I got bundled up with him. Looks like I'm off to Boston to become a Celtic".

When asked to comment about the blockbuster deal, General Manager Trevor Workman replied, "It's just like Mo-Pete said, business will be business. I tried and tried to cut a deal with teams like New York, New Jersey, Boston, and other teams for just a one player trade but they weren't interested so today, unfortunately, we had to ship out both Dooling and Mo-Pete alongside James. I wish the three of them the best of luck with the Boston organization".

Rockets Blast Past Magic in Houston
With Tracy McGrady injured and Yao Ming sitting on the bench, one
would have thought Houston would have no chance at winning.
This was not the case tonight as Rafer Alston and the
Rockets caught fire early from downtown and kept
up the strong shooting (.488%)
throughout the night.

Once again, Orlando failed to execute on the
offensive end in that final minutes of the
game. Veteran Dikembe Mutombo
had a huge fourth quarter and
helped Houston defeat
Orlando 107-101.

I feel your pain. Coach Hill is probably going to insert Ariza into the starting lineup in place of the struggling Hedo Turkoglu.

Hedo Turkoglu vs. Nuggets: Shot 4-of-6 for the game (2-of-2 from downtown) for 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
Hedo Turkoglu vs. Clippers: Shot 2-of-8 for the game (0-of-2 from downtown) for 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.
Hedo Turkoglu vs. Wizards: Shot 1-of-5 for the game (0-of-2 from downtown) for 2 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound.
Hedo Turkoglu vs. Rockets: Shot 1-of-10 for the game (1-of-5 from downtown) for 5 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Trevor Ariza vs. Nuggets: Shot 2-of-4 for the game (1-of-2 from free-throw line) for 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Trevor Ariza vs. Clippers: Shot 2-of-5 for the game (0-of-0 from free-throw line) for 4 points, and 4 rebounds.
Trevor Ariza vs. Wizards: Shot 6-of-9 for the game (3-of-4 from free-throw line) for 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Trevor Ariza vs. Rockets: Shot 5-of-11 for the game (0-of-0 from free-throw line) for 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Fri Jun 09, 2006 6:15 am

Fri Jun 09, 2006 8:22 am

Orlando Bullies Up in Win Over Chicago
Trevor Ariza was inserted into the starting lineup for the first time this season
and proved worthy of it as he scored the first nine points of the game
for the Magic. A scary moment for Orlando in the opening minutes
of the game as Darko Milicic went down holding his
right elbow, he would not return to the game.

No Darko? No problem. Orlando, as a team, shot 47-of-80 (.588) from the
field. Chicago didn't have an answer for the scorching Orland Magic
and lost 110-96 to Bob Hill's young Orlando Magic. Dwight
Howard had another monster game with 31 points, 12
rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.

wow thats a lot of pictures.
nice pic of the guys sitting down, and then gordon dunking without the ball in his hands. (Y)

Nice pictures but it looks like D Howard is crying

Hey, nice dynasty.

Gerald Green usually develops quite nicely. Start him at the 3, Ariza at the 2 and Nelson at the 1 to go with Dwight and Darko. While you may not blow the competition away this season, in the next few years you'll really have a solid group.

Actually, if you look closely he actually has his hands around the ball. The arm/hand that your refering to belongs to the defender behind him.

Right now I've got Wally World at the two-spot - Gerald is my sixth man. I may end up shuffling the starting lineup a bit throughout the season to find the best one, though. Thanks for the comments.

Magic Knick Away Second Straight Win
Total dominance, that was the story all throughout the game tonight, as the
Orlando Magic pounced on the New York Knicks who were without
suspended Stephon Marbury. At halftime, Dwight Howard and
Trevor Ariza contributed 34 of Orlando's 50 points.
New York kept the game within reach as they
headed to the locker room down 46-50.

Orlando outscored New York 30-12 in the third quarter and 27-21 in the
fourth as they cruised to a 110-82 victory, their second straight win and
first win on the road. Orlando outrebounded New York 51-37 (Dwight
Howard: 19) and outshot New York. Trevor Ariza had a career night
with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal in the victory.

nice job of integrating vertical images and all

Tue Jun 13, 2006 6:41 am

Good stuff man, I like the recaps and the pictures. Nice and clean while also very good graphics to compliment some pretty good screenshots.

I'd rather play Turkoglu over Sczerbiak though. Turkey Glue is more versatile and plays better defence because of his height in my opinion.

You're my hero. You've started Trevor Ariza and you traded for Gerald Green. Now I'm definitely following this one. (Y)
