The Hornets looked to start the season on the right foot, and with home-court advantage, it look all the much easier. But, they still had to get around a tough Suns lineup that included Tracy McGrady, Joe Johnson, and Chris Kaman.

The Hornets controlled the tempo of the game from the second quarter on, as they never trailed during that stretch. The Suns kept it close in the 1st , trailing only by 3, but self-destructed in the second, only scoring 10 points and giving up 27 to the Hornets. They outscored them in the third 27-25, but it was too little, too late.

One of the bright spots for NOK was the bench. Desmond Mason came off the bench to score a game high 22 points, and, of course, throw down some flashy dunks. Speedy Claxton had a double double, and Pape Sow did well on the block, with 9 points and 4 rebounds. Perhaps the only bright spot for the starters was LeBron James, and he only manged 11 points and shot only 4-12 from the field. Stephon Marbury added 20 points and 6 steals.

James did a good job containing McGrady, as he was held to a still-team-high 17 points. The thing to worry about for NO/OKC is rebounding. Chris Kaman grabbed 15 rebounds against them. Otherwise, they did well, holding Jamaal Tinsley and Cliff Robinson to 14 points apiece, and Joe Johnson to 11.

The killer for Phoenix was turnovers. The commited 27 turnovers, including 17 by Tinsley. The Hornets only commited 11, and NO/OKC took advantage of it.

Unrealistic stats (N)

You need to adjust your sliders because 10 steals is way too much.

Tue May 09, 2006 6:27 am

How come you never like my dynasties? :(

I am changing it though, because I agree.

The Pistons, having made 2 Finals appearances in a row, are starting the
season on the wrong foot, while the Hornets, hoping to carry momentum
from a big win over Phoenix, look to win 2 in a row.

Image94 @ 95 Image

In a game where the first half was controlled by Detroit, New
Orleans-Oklahoma City found a way to storm back. And Stephon Marbury led the way. Down by 9 at halftime, the Hornets stormed back to tie it after 3, and in the fourth, jumped out to a 10-point lead. But, the Pistons came back, and Gilbert Arenas capped their rally with a trey to tie it a 94 with 3 ticks left on the clock. After calling timeout to get the ball a midcourt, Stephon Marbury was fouled with 1.1 seconds left. He made the second of two, and with no timeouts, the Pistons didn't have a chance.

Arenas' three gave him the game high with 26 points. Marko Jaric came off the bench and tallied 13. Rookie Rashad McCants also had 13.

Marbury finished with 24 points, and Emeka Okafor did well on the block, tallying 15 points and throwing down power dunks. Desmond Mason score 13, and Speedy Claxton added 12

EDIT: I didn't change the steal slider before this game.

Tue May 09, 2006 11:04 am

This dynasty is already jacked. Like someone already said - unrealistic stats.

Tue May 09, 2006 11:12 am

All bad comments, but no suggestions.

P.S. Your dynasty rawks.

Tue May 09, 2006 12:58 pm

Well imma not going to give you bad feed, i do agree that it looks pretty bad, but what you need to do is visualize dynasty's like mine, JIng's, Marquis, or Unrestrict 3D etc. and then just maybe with all the knowlegde of everyones different dynasty you can put it all together and make a very good dyansty, because thats what I did i went through I think 3 dynastys same like yours, but just take the advice i gave and maybe ur dynasty will be like one of ours..

P.S. you better thank me for writting so much, you basterd lmao...

Tue May 09, 2006 4:49 pm

Yes, take a look at the other dynasty and improve your slider and your recap ;)

Wed May 10, 2006 6:14 am

The only thing bad about the stats was the steals IMO, but whatever. And, visualize? How?

EDIT: I shoulda stuck with my other dynasty, you all liked that one better.

Wed May 10, 2006 6:31 am

Look at peoples stay and how they present there pictures/recap/writting, like if you see a dynasty and it starts off with the first post....

Imma making a Spurs Dynasty ENJOY

That not really going to hook anyone try adding pictures and such, and a good first post from a dynasty shows Pics of the Team Info/Team Roster...

Wed May 10, 2006 6:38 am

I have no camera, and I probably wont be able to get the PC version, either. So what, just get real pictures?

Wed May 10, 2006 6:46 am

I guess...

Wed May 10, 2006 6:49 am

Whatever, I'm never gonna get a good dynasty anyway.

I'm just going to retire from this dynasty...I can't keep up with all of it. I have, however, created a Raptor's dynasty that I will provide limited coverage on, if you are interested(you're probably not, though). My starting lineup is Raymond Felton, Dwayne Wade, Tayshaun Prince, Emeka Okafor, and Elton Brand.

EDIT: Yes, I edited it because I'm thinking of another dynasty...

You are an interesting person. You say every couple days that you're done, then start a new one. This time, even in the same post, you say you're 'retiring from dynasties' but post info about your new one.

If all you care about is the attention, perhaps you should make some sort of interesting presentation, or at least stick with a team.

Not telling you how to play the game or what 'should be fun' for you. You just seem like you want the attention- so do something about it.

edit/addition: That really came out like I was trying to be mean. I wasn't. :D

Mon May 15, 2006 10:46 am

I know I shouldn't bump this, but...

I cant get a good presentation, because I'm doing my dynasties on PS2, putting the recaps on with a Windows 98 most of the time, and I don't have Photoshop. X__X

Mon May 15, 2006 2:57 pm

I didnt have photoshop but my dynasty was the shit.

Tue May 16, 2006 6:34 am

I'm thinking about doing another one(I know Donatello, I'm "interesting), but if I do, it won't start until 3 weeks from now or somwhere around there, because at the end of the school year when I get my report card, I might ask for the PC Version of NBA Live 06 for my grades(I know I don't sound smart, but I've gotten a 4.0 GPA for the first three periods).

Tue May 16, 2006 7:25 am

Why would you get 06 right now?

Just wait for 07.
