try being careful with passing.

aslong as you are careful, as you would need to be in the real NBA, then you won't have too many hassles. Keep an eye on where opponents are with respect to whom your intending to pass to, you get to a point where you can tell that the CPU player will steal it if u take some options. Pass around the perimeter a bit... try and break someone down..... be careful of passing inside quickly when on the run etc.........

the fast break the computer seems unstoppable...

the game probably ain't like that of 2001 where you can just pass to almost anybody on the court. I used to just dribble down the court, pass it of to the low post man on the left and then he would pass it to the other low post man and they would just pass the ball between themselves until they got an opening....i believe that kind of strategy ain't gonna work no more. Time to follow what Jase23 just said.

This degree of difficulty you are pointing out is exactly why NBA Live 2003 is so great. Unlike other versions it will not be easy to win, so it makes a season far more interesting with all the challenges you will face. There is nothing worse than mastering a game in 1 month and then waiting 11 months for it's next release in order to find a challenge. This game should last you a lot longer than that.

hm....come to think of it.... it takes me less than a day to not loss in NBA Live2001, in superstar mode...... But I still love the game a lot.... maybe is due to not having any chance to play NBA 2K3 which everyone say is nice.... I just know that I love NBA Live series a lot.... fans to all the series!!!

all i can say is "LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE GAME!"

1.don't make stupid passes, use icon passing
2.always stop the ball handler first on defense and i gurantee that the fast break # will go down--don't shoot too many 3's because it'll lead to a lot of fast breaks for the other team--after you shoot they break, be ready for it
3.use the direct pass button and get use to it because you'll will need it from now on , on offense and defense & definetly for offensive rebounding
4.just play, it's a different gameplay engine--trust me--you'll get use to it and love it like i did for the ps2 version that is.

i have been playing the game for a while now and if u take the fast shot u will get your ass kicked on the fast break same goes for outside shooting cause if u miss they are just 1 outled pass away from a score. Same goes for the stealing just let your pointguard setup the plays soon as u have a open man pass dont throw it into the pack cause u will loose the ball.

what quarter time u guys set to make the end score looks realistic?

I just got the game and have played 3 full games--and I LOVE IT!

the only gripe i really have is the high fg%, but hopefully that can be fixed by a patch.

but yeah, it feels great to have a basketball game back on my pc.

hm... as a matter of fact, NBA Live2001 never left my computer b4.....
