PF: Kenyon Martin
SF: Quentin Richardson
SG: Steve Francis
PG: Andre Miller

At least for the start of the season! I will try this line-up also the 2nd week and if this doesn't work I'm planning to do some changes

You should start Francis at point guard, Richardson at shooting guard, and Jalen Rose or trade somebody for a good defensive small-forward like Bowen or Artest or Iguodala, Bowen is the best one of those three right there on the game, but if you're looking for somebody young, a future All-Star, I'd go with Iguodala. Just imagine........

Tough Losses dude, the Play of the Game doesnt want to work for me, Id almost be inclined to use Q-Rich as a 6th man, keep his focus on scoring points...

Iggy would be an excellent acquisition...still Andre is very hard to get he has a decent salary and unfortunately I have overpaid salaries But for now I'm planning to stick to my roster to make it realistic I will try to trade again maybe close to the trade deadline in february

Damn k now it will work for sure the Play of the Game by Francis I moved it on rapidshare...look out cause is a must see And with QRich as 6th Man yeah that would be interesting. I'll give it a shot if I'll keep losing for sure

Major Blow-out in Arena in Oakland

New York suffered an upset away from home against the Warriors 108 – 79. The game seemed to be a close contest just like the one ended 5 days ago in Madison Square Garden when New York defeated Golden State 81 – 77. With the crowd pushing the home team into the right direction, the Knicks couldn’t stop players like Baron Davis; Jason Richardson and Mike Dunleavy from scoring.
“What happened was that we totally lost control of the game especially in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Not to mention that we didn’t take care of the basket. Golden State had 2nd chances too many times in this game. In the 4th quarter we didn’t think clearly and we started to shoot from beyond the art although most of our shots were contested.” said Larry Brown.
“Not a good game for us! We have been struggling from the field all night long. We gave the other team too many chances to make offensive rebounds. That’s where we lost this game!” said guard Steve Francis.
Mike Dunleavy was the Player of the Game averaging 17 points; 9 rebounds and 4 steals. On the other side Eddie Curry seemed in good shape scoring 14 points and making 16 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Rematch…Francis wins but New York lose!

The game awaited by most of the NBA fans between New York and Denver because of the blockbuster trade made by the two teams at the beginning of the season ended with another loss by the Knicks 83 – 93.
The key match-up was between former teammates Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury. Stevie managed to get Starbury out of the game early by making him to commit fouls and Stephon had to watch most of the first half from the bench. Francis exploded in the 2nd half of the game and scored 20 points. An amazing 600% of his field goals came from dunks. 4 of his dunks came from alley-oops. But this wasn’t enough to secure the victory for the Knicks. The other players from New York didn’t respond Francis’ wake-up call.
On the other side Denver showed what a team victory means. With the help of the bench, especially DeMarr Johnson the Nuggets stayed closed on the scoreboard and made a run late in the 4th quarter.
“We still have to work on our chemistry! Sure Francis had a great night but none of the players helped him. He practically held our team in the game all of the 4th quarter.” said Larry Brown after the game.

The Battle in the Paint! Knicks Power Duo overcomes Randolph!

New York won their 3rd game this season after a close contest in the game against Portland Trail Blazers 104 – 101. Knicks controlled most part of the game but the lack of concentration in the last minutes let Portland get closer on the scoreboard.
The game was won in the frontcourt. Eddie Curry and Kenyon Martin manage to get past their defenders and score easy baskets. On the other side Zach Randolph helped Portland with important points and defensive stops to keep the score close.
“Tough victory for us! This will definitely help us in the upcoming games against Charlotte and Philadelphia. Curry and Martin did their job. They saw the mismatch and took advantage. Also Crawford assists for those two were another important factor for today’s win.” said Coach Larry Brown.
Kenyon Martin was the Player of the Game with 20 points; 11 boards and 3 blocks! “It is an important win for us. Without my teammates I couldn’t have those numbers.” said K-Mart. Also Eddie Curry; Jamal Crawford or Steve Francis had some great numbers too.

Mature Baby Bulls take the victory in close contest!

The Knicks suffered another loss in Madison Square Garden this time in the game against Chicago Bulls 90 – 96. The young guns from the Bulls showed that they form a mature team and can cope with the pressure of the last minutes. On the other side New York after an incredible comeback from double-digit lead made some key mistakes in offense with only 2 minutes to go.
“We could have won the game if we were more careful. The last minutes were a disaster for us: careless passes; doubtful decisions. Let’s hope we can all learn from this loss!” said Head Coach Larry Brown.
All started with some incredible open shots near the paint missed by Curry and rookie David Lee. Then Crawford made a careless pass easy intercepted by guard Gordon who finished on a fast break easy. Curry tried to force in the last 30 seconds and he was called for the 3 second violation. Quentin Richardson and Jamal Crawford couldn’t score from beyond the art and the game finished like the other 11 from 14 did: with a disappointing loss.
Former Knick player Mike Sweetney was named Player of the Game with 20 points and 12 rebounds. “It wasn’t a revenge for me! I just want to do my job here in Chicago and help my team reach the play-offs!” said Sweetney.
